Отмечая 20-летие этого шедевра, Йохан ван Рой вспоминает свои кровавые корни, не упуская из виду темное будущее. «Mindstrip был важной вехой не только для меня, но и для всей электро-сцены», - смущенно комментирует Йохан. «Альбом оказал большое влияние на многие группы сцены». Прекрасная возможность обновить это классическое произведение спустя 20 лет. «Первоначальный альбом был написан на старом компьютере Atari, и большая часть вокальных партий была частично записана вживую», - вспоминает Йохан, - «сначала я хотел просто переделать эти старые записи, но когда я начал переносить старые файлы Cubase на На моем сегодняшнем компьютере я все больше и больше начинал переписывать песни, и, в конце концов, у большинства песен был совершенно другой результат ». Тем не менее, Йохан никогда не терял уважения к легендарному оригиналу: «Mindstrip Redux» будет выпущен в виде 2-CD версии с новой версией альбома, как и революционный оригинал. Также обязательно будут в восторге любители винила. Да, вы прочитали правильно, это первый раз с момента выхода альбома «Mindstrip» будет доступен на виниле. Весь альбом Redux будет доступен в виде двойного винила с ограниченным тиражом в синем и кроваво-красном цветах, а также с полностью переработанными версиями двух клубных хитов «Cry for mother» и «Dein Herz, meine Gier».
