Having completed a preliminary round of work on their eponymous 2015 album at Rockfield Studios,Wire found themselves with 19 tracks. Among them, there was a critical mass of 11 aesthetically unified songs. In typical Wire fashion, however, the remaining material was something other: it had the sound of a band already moving in a different direction, beyond the album project in which they were engaged at that time. These tracks were the basis for Nocturnal Koreans. The difference between the two clusters of work birthed at Rockfield has its roots in discrete approaches to the studio process itself. Nocturnal Koreans emphasises studio construction over authentic performance, using the recording environment as an instrument, not just as a simple means of capturing Wire playing. Although it's become de rigueur to talk about Wire's capacity for self-reinvention, that's never the whole story. Certainly, the impulse to pursue fresh ideas with each phase of work is buried deep in their artistic DNA, but they've balanced that commitment to the new with a core character and attitude that's always at some level recognisable as Wire-without being reducible to a formulaic sound. It's this enduring dialectic that gives Wire their unique status as a long-established band that continues to forge ahead with original music: always unmistakably Wire but always reimagined and reframed with each successive project. Downloadcode.Electro/ Ambient Intentions and Variations is composer Mikael Lind's most ambient work to date, absent of beats, filled with soundscapes and sound manipulation. Weightless music that may make you think of Christopher Bissonette, Deaf Center or Stephen Mathieu. Lind's tracks are based on simple themes – often performed by a piano or a viola – but his compositions gradually evolve into more complex creations and mature textures by letting electronically manipulated sounds interact. As in Lind's previous releases, these five sonic explorations are more comforting than agitating. But make no mistake: underneath their beautiful surface, threatening forces constantly loom, waiting to be unleashed: In 'Unyielding Rocks' the shimmering sounds are almost drowned in a wall of droning distortions. But those multi-layered elements never fully negate the solemn aspect of Lind's music, or, as he puts it: "Complexity is a wonderful thing, but should never be an end in itself." This album as well as several 7“-es cemented their reputation as one of the hardest Rockin low down dirty Rockin-Blues combos on this planet. A new line up consisting of Craig Shaw (vocals, guitar, harp), Garry Tyrrell Lynch (drums & bass) and Jake Allen (guitar & double bass – himself being a celebrated WILD recording artist) finally recorded a bunch of tracks at Denmark Studios, Maidenhead, UK of which twelve made it onto the new album Rise Up! Hold/Still, the third studio album from Suuns, is an enigmatic thing: an eerily beautiful, meticulously played suite of music that embraces opposites and makes a virtue of cognitive dissonance. It is a record that does not give up its secrets easily. The 11 songs within are simultaneously psychedelic, but austere; sensual, but cold; organic, but electronic; tense sometimes to the brink of mania, but always retaining perfect poise and control. From the beginning, Suuns (you pronounce it "soons", and it translates as "zeroes" in Thai) have sought to do things differently. They formed in Montreal 2007 and the group's first two records, 2010's Zeroes QC and 2012's Polaris Prize-nominated Images Du Futur - both released on Secretly Canadian - were immediate critical hits. Suuns soon found themselves part of a late '00s musical renaissance in the city, alongside fellow groups like The Besnard Lakes, Islands and Land Of Talk. Still, at the same time, Suuns feel remote from the big, baroque ensembles and apocalyptic orchestras that typify the Montreal scene. After two records produced by their friend Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes at his Montreal studio Breakglass, Suuns decided Hold/Still demanded a different approach. In May 2015, they decamped to Dallas, Texas to work with Grammy- winning producer John Congleton (St Vincent, The War On Drugs, Sleater- Kinney). For three intense weeks, the four recorded in Congleton's studio by day, the producer driving them to capture perfect live takes with virtually no overdubbing. The result is undoubtedly Suuns' most focused album to date, the sound of a band working in mental lockstep, crafting a guitar music that feels unbeholden to clear traditions or genre brackets. Hold/Still is an album which derives its eerie power from simmering tensions and strange, stark juxtapositions, and in doing so, directs rock music down a new, unventured path. Recorded in 1994 With Robert Butler (Pantichrist) and Kat Allen (Reithalle Bern) this was the first Monsters Album with ELECTRIC BASS a stead of Stand Up Bass, and with a Wall of TRASHED OUT FUZZ Guitars, and it was a big turning point for the Band after releasing the more or less Pschobilly GARAGE oriented 'THE HUNCH (1991)' + 'MASKS (1989)' Yves (the Lead Guitarist) Left the band and they shrank into a TRIO and Beat-Man added a FUZZ BOX and LEVEL 13 to the guitar, the whole band was fed up of the Clean Studio Sound and decided to do everything at Home and rented a recording machine (AKAI-1214) and recorded it in only 2 Days !! Jungle Noise was original released by Germany s Underground Label 'JUNGLE NOISE' in 1995 as a 10" Vinyl and some more tracks where released as 7" on other Labels, the Song 'it's not my way' was actually recorded for a Swiss Anti War Compilation, (STOP F/A-18) but it was not taken (to trash).
