It is our vision of what our music should sound like in 2012, not someone else's interpretation," says Lunadon. "Every sound on the album is made by us and our tools; tools created by us, used on no other recordings, and purposefully built for this project. This is real. Some of it is the band being in complete control - bending, shaping and building the songs and the sounds. Other parts are the band relinquishing control and letting the songs and sounds take over and produce themselves. Исполнители извлекали выгоду из того, что в силу конструкции инструмента не могли добиться от него градуированной громкости, концентрируя свою игру на точной интерпретации с напряженной фразировкой и продуманным выбором регистров.
Эта запись с двухмануальным клавесином Pleyel открывает широкое поле зрения на разнообразие клавирной музыки в Европе XVII-XVIII веков. Помимо сочинений Луи Куперена и Доменико Скарлатти, центральное место в этой записи занимают английские пьесы из самого знаменитого сборника барокко - "Фицуильямской виргинской книги" Джона Буля, Уильяма Берда и Питера Филиппса. Краткие пояснения на задней обложке облегчают восприятие композиций в их историческом контексте.
