ANTHRAX's "We've Come For You All" and "The Greater Of Two Evils" albums will be reissued on December 22 via Nuclear Blast. The two LPs will be available for purchase via CD in one package, and also available via limited-edition gatefold vinyl as separate pieces. "We've Come For You All" was originally released in 2003 and was ANTHRAX's ninth studio album. It was the last studio LP featuring vocalist John Bush and the first to feature Rob Caggiano on lead guitar. Produced by Rob Caggiano, it's a heavy and dynamic record that speaks to die-hard metal fans as much as rock and alternative audiences. THE WHO vocalist Roger Daltrey and PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott made guest appearances on the album. The cover art was designed by comic book artist Alex Ross. "The Greater Of Two Evils" is a compilation record originally released in 2004. The album is made up of fourteen songs from the early era of ANTHRAX that were first released between 1984 and 1990, originally sung by Neil Turbin and Joey Belladonna. The tracks were re-recorded with John Bush on vocals. The tracks were originally selected via a fan vote which was held on the ANTHRAX web site — the band received thousands of votes from all around the world. First single of the German-Brazilian band founded by Anne Goldacker (Ex-Obsyre) and Alex Twin (3 Cold Men / Individual Industry). Produced "Ausweg" by British producer and musician John Fryer (4AD Label, This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Xmal Deutschland, Depeche Mode, NIN). Wintry's first release for the new album is directed towards the 80's 4AD Wave and Gothic, which John Fryer and his label have influenced significantly. John Fryer chose 2 tracks and produced Wintry's first 7 "single in this style. Only a small limited edition of 150 copies will be released as a 7' LP. The song "Ausweg", as well as the B page with the title "Auch ohne Dich" ("Even without you") were brilliantly edited by John Fryer and packed in the typical 4AD style. The result is a sound that could have been created in the 80s. It reminds of bands like Xmal Deutschland, The Frozen Autumn or the earlier works of Clan of Xymox. Both Jared & Cody had previously recorded with Phil Ek, and really liked him as person, as well as his production sensibilities. Phil had made many records at AVAST! Studios and was right at home, which made the band feel a lot more comfortable. Says Coady, I remember listening to the rough mixes of the O.G. in the van and getting super excited. Look, there isn't any way to write this without commenting on the name Bed Wettin' Bad Boys. We're not gonna bring ourselves to it, but with all measures of certainty, you are. You're casting aspersions on their name, maybe formulating in your mind what they might sound like, and wondering why Agitated / RIP Society is bringing them to your attention. Have they no shame, you thought. Do they want to sell records and attract fans, you ponder. Thing is, they've heard it already. They own it, and they've done so since 2009. Save your opinions. It's time to get that sentiment stricken from the slate, because we're here to talk about their music, which is bold, passionate, ear-splitting rock & roll, performed with tremendous heart and determination. It's a barrier of entry for those unable or unwilling to look past the surface. Rot is the name of the second full-length from Sydney's Bed Wettin' Bad Boys. Hang it on regional slang (My mum used to say, hat a load of rot' instead of hat a load of shit,' mentions guitarist Joe Sukit), or pin it to the way they perceive themselves as veritable dinosaurs of their local scene, set adrift to crumble on their love for classic rock and lack of fashionable ideas. Maybe even put it in the novelty canon of Rock, Rot & Rule. Or why not add a fourth R, because this thing rips. Those guitars are hoisted in defiance of cool, and are loud enough to break your concentration and enforce an active listening experience. Musically, Bed Wettin' Bad Boys haven't budged an inch from their debut full length (2013's Ready for Boredom, released on bassist Nic Warnock's R.I.P Society label). Nor should they have; they are in the (sporadic) business of writing durable, sentiment-stirring riffs, the kind that lifted the first stirrings of punk in England (see Eddie and the Hot Rods, maybe), or of the direction of power-pop that was more focused on writing worldbeaters than fixing its hair (look at the Replacements, perhaps, or Mission of Burma). Not one drop of power is wasted or lost here; raw emotions push through these tracks in songs about love, about watching the world turn, about casting off distractions and focusing on the need for human connection.
