Watford's mysterious mosh-crew THE HELL return with their brand new album, "Brutopia". Renowned for their less than subtle satire and a brutal lashing of fist-to-the-face riffs and grooves, ‘Brutopia’ is the band’s wildest ride to date. Described by Rocksound as a "chugga-chugga-masterclass", "Bruptopia" follows a year of notorious festival appearances at Reading & Leeds, Sonisphere, Copenhell, Groezrock and the Hevy Festival and baiting / polarizing the music press with their gob-shite rhetoric and cutting social mockery. "You don’t listen to The Hell, The Hell take a shit down your ears" furthered Rocksound, and they are not wrong. It has not stopped the band's anthems garnering widespread commercial airplay either, being lauded by leading BBC djs Dan Carter and Zane Lowe. "Brutopia" was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Nails & Black Mist at Titan Studios in Watford and features the future hits, "Sick", "I've Got Loads Of Money", "Shite Club" and "Fuck You All" amongst others. The band will be hitting the road to coincide, bringing a van load of abuse to a town near you.

Montreal's Sheer Agony started in late 2010, when Christian Simmons and Jackson Macintosh started amassing tape-based studio equipment in their apartment. Initially looking to fuse Sell Out-era Who with The Homosexuals and The Soft Boys, the two found compatriots in Markus Lake and Greg Napier and put their vision to tape, resulting in a few songs on Bandcamp that lead immediately to a now very much out-of-print 7" with the great Canadian label Fixture. Several North American tours later, Sheer Agony have emerged with Masterpiece, their debut long player for Couple Skate. Heavy players in the sprawling, potent DIY scene of Montreal and Drones Club, which has produced too many great bands and labels to list, Sheer Agony perfectly channel the weird energy of their scene and aforementioned influences into a potent blend of neo-psych swirl and proto-punk succinctness

Seventh full-length under his own name , 'Bizarster' is no empty eulogy, it's a hall of mirrors with a happy bounce, re-tooled with skill, and always with a sense of fun. It's these things that make the hip-hop speed bleep 'n' bass of opener 'Knockout' seems completely natural, or 'Officer's Club' with it's funky disco samples, reggae vocals and joyous synths sounding like the kind of delirious idea no one else could come up with. A track like 'I Can Phil It' is a piece of sampladelic hip hop with a punning title, but that's not to say he can't play it serious. 'Manalog' for instance, which is sharp spiralling low-slung synth funk, a gloriously deep track, while something like 'L-Tronic' is top draw spaced-out electro. The title track's cut and paste space-age samples remind one of his Jean-Jacques Perrey collaboration and 'War' is the type of groovy instrumental hip-hop reminiscent of DJ Shadow at his peak. The album finishes on the fun-filled vortex of Don't Fuck Around', a cut-up jungle masterpiece with heart in throat chords. Enjoy the ride.

Brothers Jared and Michael Bell have been making music together as Lymbyc Systym since 2004. On their new album Split Stones they explore the power of disparate halves coming together to form a unique whole. The idea serves as an analogy for Jared and Mike's relationship, Lymbyc's sound, and the mind/body dichotomy. Recorded largely in their respective home studios, the duo went to Dallas to track live drums at Elmwood Recording, where they mixed their previous albums Shutter Release and Field Studies with John Congleton. The album opens with "Generated Bodies", a song that starts as a colossal instrumental rock track, but quickly evolves into spirals of chordal synths and electronic beats, mirroring the band's metamorphosis over the past decade. Other songs like "Split Stones" and "Pulses" find the band experimenting with longer cinematic song structures, leaving behind the short "pop" song structures they've delivered on previous albums. The album veers into full on dance mode on "Paraboloid" before things wind down with the sunny groove of album closer "Scientific Romance".

Then we held our breath, crossed our fingers and started writing songs. What came out was music that was even more intense, more fragile, and more brutal than anything we had done before. Even though to my disappointment there was almost no dubstep. In fact, the writing was so rewarding we decided to keep on writing... and writing... and writing. So we have a brand new member (Dan Pelic), an old member coming back (Robert Ehrenbrand), a long‐time friend officially joining (Rev. Chris Rakus) and the three original gray hairs Chad Istvan, Nathan Gray and Joshua Latshaw playing together

Red vinyl! Usually when a band pulls the "All Star" card it means that a bunch of washed up punks come together and bang out a few songs that are not good enough for their main bands. Those "All Star" projects usually release a few songs that tend to be overlooked by the public and quickly fade away as fast as they were founded. Luckily for us GREAT COLLAPSE have nothing to do with that kind of sad scene: Founded by STRIKE ANYWHERE singer Thomas Barnett when moving to the west coast (while his Richmond, VA based band took a well deserved break from recording and constant touring) GREAT COLLAPSE quickly took on a life of its own. Barnett teamed up with former RISE AGAINST guitarist Chris Chasse, SET YOUR GOALS bass player Joe Saucedo and COMEBACK KID drummer Kyle Profeta. The result was a self-produced and self-released 6 song debut EP called "Elemental" that perfectly combines catchy hardcore punk with Barnett radical anarchist politics. Pushed by this project's epic hardcore song writing and focused bright classic punk hooks, lyrically Barnett is touching on a more story driven and conceptual field of ideas, a gauntlet thrown down to challenge the post modern ecological and spiritual apocalypse we are all living through. So no matter if you look for the perfect hook or some inspiring lyrics that will get you through the day in this sometimes bleak and depressing world: GREAT COLLAPSE are one of the few bands in our time that has both - the music AND the message. Right before entering the studio to record their first full length album GREAT COLLAPSE added former DEATH BY STEREO/NATIONS A FIRE drummer Todd Henning and second guitarist Tom Arnott (AT RISK/LOVE EQUALS DEATH) to their ranks.
