The Norwegian band Atrox have always been something different within the metal scene. Starting off in 1990 in Trondheim from the ashes of the death metal band Suffocation, they could easily be labeled as a melodic doom metal band. After the debut “Mesmerized” in 1997, the band transformed and came back with new members and a totally new sound in 2000 with “Contentum”. Over the years, more members have changed and their style have progressed for each album. Now, with “Monocle”, their first album since 2008’s “Binocular”, they’ve finetuned their highly progressive, experimental and industrial sound, and are back with full force. “Monocle” shows a darker side of the band, with more epic and atmospheric elements than earlier. At the same time, there are some extremely catchy and upbeat parts throughtout the album, cementing the unique and special sound Atrox have. It’s safe to say they’ve again progressed further, building on the rich musical legacy of the band since their beginning

Prog Rockers Fatal Fusion are set to release "Total Absence", their third full-length album, on the 25th November. The album is the follow up to the band's 2010 debut "Land of the Sun", and 2013's "The Ancient Tale", both of which received great reviews from the world press. Hailing from Oslo, Norway, Fatal Fusion's lineup comprises Erlend Engebretsen on Keyboards, Lasse Lie on Bass, Audun Engebretsen on Drums/Percussion, Stig Selnes on Guitar, and Knut Grøntvedt on Vocals. Unusually, the band not only utilizes the standard rock instruments used by bands today, but they also make use of "classical" rock instruments such as vintage synths, mellotron and hammond organ, which gives Fatal Fusion its distinctive sound. "Total Absence" shows a darker and more epic side of Fatal Fusion, a band that pays homage to the progressive rock bands from the 70´s, whilst, at the same time aiming to create its own unique sound, by blending in elements from different musical genres like hard rock, classical music, metal, blues, jazz, psychedelia, and Latin. Formed in 2009, Black Hole Generator is the brainchild of Vulture Industries' main man and long-time Taake and Helheim producer Bjørnar E. But now the wait is finally over and Black Hole Generator is ready to unleash its long-awaited second outing. Entitled “A Requiem for Terra”, the seven-track album shifts between the bleak aural landscapes of a desolate world and the frantic torrent of the abyss. With a wide dynamic range that spans from the brooding doom-laden opener “A Requiem for Terra”, to the mesmerizing riffing of “Moloch”, from the catchy “Beneath a Chemical Sky” to the fierce “Emerging Pantheon”. “A Requiem for Terra” also features the renowned Arve Isdal (Enslaved/Audrey Horne) on guitars, Gjermund Fredheim (Taake/Orkan) on lead guitars on 3 tracks, with additional guitars by Dag Terje Andersen. "Mayhem In Blue", the new album from Psychedelic Prog Black Metallers Hail Spirit Noir, is set for release on Dark Essence Records on the 14th October. The album will be the third full-lenght release for the Greek trio, whose debut album "Pneuma" appeared in 2012, followed by 2014´s "Oi Magoi". Commenting on what fans can expect from "Mayhem In Blue", the band had to say this: "It's been two and a half years since the release of our last album, and with "Mayhem In Blue" we have set out to express our more aggressive side, without sacrificing any of the psychedelic melodies that are an integral part of what we like to call Hail Spirit Noir's "weird black sound". If anything in fact, the sound is more enticing and trippy than ever. "Featuring the mixing talents of Dimitris Douvras (Rotting Christ) and the exceptional mastering abilities of Alan Douches (Chelsea Wolfe, Motorhead), we feel the result is an album that elevates our signature psychoprog black metal sound to new levels".
