BORNHOLM was founded in 2000 by guitarist Sahsnot (Péter Sallai) - who was known as Astaroth until 2009 - in Szerencs, North Hungary. In 2001 and after a few changes, the band got the opportunity to record the first demo EP „Awakening Of The Ancient Ones“, which was self-released in 2002. The debut album „...On The Way Of Hunting The Moon“ followed in 2005 and was released on the French label Melancholia Records, and distributed by labels such as Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Red Stream or Napalm Records. The band shot a video for the song „Acheron“, and was the opening act for bands like Arcturus, Mayhem or Enslaved. The follow-up album, „March For Glory And Revenge“, was recorded in 2007/2008 with Viktor Sheer, who‘s already worked with well known bands like Ektomorf, Sear Bliss, Rise or Forest Silence in the past. The album was released in November 2009 on the legendary Dutch label VIC Records. The album was also accompanied by a video for the song „Dreams Of Ages“. The line-up of BORMHOLM was once again updated in order to put more energy into their live shows. A split vinyl EP with Nydvind was released on the French label Ancestrale Production in 2011. Right after signing to NoiseArt Records, BORNHOLM started working on their third full-length album „Inexorable Defiance“, which was then released in January 2013. Following the release, the band joined Ex Deo, Thyrfing, Alestorm, Arkona and Wolfchant on the European Paganfest tour. Later in 2013, BORNHOLM also played at Germany‘s Beastival (now Out & Loud Festival) and Denmark‘s Copenhell. Besides playing several live shows in Denmark and Germany, a mini tour with Skyforger in Germany/Hungary/Czech Republic and an appearance at the Barther Metal Open Air, BORNHOLM started working on their upcoming album „Primaeval Pantheons“ in 2014. Sahsnot acted as vocalist and guitarist of the band, before he started working with a lot of session musicians. The upcoming album „Primaeval Pantheons“ was recorded with the following line-up: Sahsnot, D and Hjules. In 2015, BORNHOLM also went on a mini tour with Thyrfing and Skogen in Germany/Belgium/France. Hjules left the band to focus on his work and family, and Vozargh joined forces with Sear Bliss. Guitarist Attila from the Hungarian death/black metal outfit Tesstimony and bassist Carrion, who was part of the classic Tormentor line-up, then joined Sahsnot and D, and completed the current BORNHOLM line-up. Argentinian traditional metal act Feanor will issue the third full length studio effort "We Are Heavy Metal" via Massacre Records on November 25th. The album includes 12 pure heavy/true metal tracks with epic riffs and melodies. The album was recorded and mastered at La Nave De Osberg Studios from July 2012 to November 2015. Vocalist Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) makes a guest vocal appearance on the song "Crying Games" and Ross the Boss (ex-Manowar) and David Shankle (ex-Manowar/DSG) guest on all guitars. AETERNITAS was founded in 1999 by Anja and Alexander Hunzinger. The first and very well received concept album „requiem“ followed in August 2000, combining a variety of different stylistic elements - from classical music to metal - and Latin lyrics. The second album „La Danse Macabre“, released in 2004, combined contemporary gothic metal with classical, electronic and theatrical influences. This unique symbiosis of various musical genres led to the band‘s dark and melancholic sound which can best be described as Gothic Theatre Metal. These two concept albums paved the way for the subsequent evolution of AETERNITAS and their next album, the gothic musical „Rappacinis Tochter“ („Rappaccini‘s Daughter“). This was AETERNITAS’ gift to the gothic and metal Scene, and to the German musical enthusiasts in general: their very own gothic musical. „Rappacinis Tochter“ was performed live on stage more than 50 times between 2008 and 2011, and the album „Rappacinis Tochter - Highlights“ received an award as „Best Musical Album“ at the German Rock and Pop Prize in 2008. Since 2012, AETERNITAS have been working on their new concept album „House Of Usher“, based on the famous short story „The Fall of the House of Usher“ by Edgar Allan Poe. For this album, AETERNITAS display a modern symphonic metal sound with complex orchestral arrangements, groovy rock parts and, of course, the strong & catchy voices of Alma Mathar and Oliver Bandmann. Over the course of various live shows in clubs and at festivals, AETERNITAS already presented their new songs to their audience successfully. The lyric video for the song „Madeline“, off the new album, will be released in September 2016. The complete album will be released on October 21, 2016 via Massacre Records. The new and second album of the German heavy metal legends HARDHOLZ from Thuringia! - First album since a 17-year hiatus! artwork by Tassilo Hörchner. HARDHOLZ - the heavy metal stalwarts from the former GDR celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2014. Four friends joined forces to play heavy guitar music, and there was one thing that united them all: Metal! The era of the band started on Easter 1984 with their first public gig. Besides cover versions, HARDHOLZ also played their own songs, which were well received and led to numerous live gigs. A second lead guitarist was added to the line-up in 1986, and first songs were played on the radio, some of them even entered the charts. A tour in Poland and gigs on metal festivals in the former GDR followed. The band released a self-produced CD called „Jäger und Gejagte“ in 1995. The album was introduced to the audience during a tour with the well-known band BIEST. It was practically impossible for a metal band like HARDHOLZ to sign a record deal back then, and so they went on indefinite hiatus in 1997. Every band member focused on other projects until they met again in 2013. They decided to return in 2014 with old and new band members alike: Drummer Franky, guitarist Ede and bassist Der Hölzer were joined by the new vocalist Kelle, who completed the line-up. The band signed with Massacre Records in March 2015 and is going to release its new album „Herzinfarkt“, mastered by Markus Stock, in mid-February 2016! HARDHOLZ use a wide range of stylistic elements in their songs, including acoustic instruments that are nowadays often used in Pagan Metal, and mix them with their very own style. Influences from bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica are also noticeable. The German lyrics deal with various themes from daily stress to medieval legends and myths. The new and 4th album by the international gothic/epic metalquartet IMPERIA will be released on 20th of November through the German Massacre Records. The new album is called TEARS OF SILENCE. There will be a strictly limited edition Digipak including 2 exclusive bonus tracks. The album was recorded and mixed at the Spacelab studio in Germany by Christian Moos (Everon, Delain, Leah). The orchestrations were done by Oliver Philipps (Everon) and the mastering was done by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Destruction, Pretty Maids) at Hansen Studios. Danish metallers HATESPHERE will release their new album, "New Hell", on November 20 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded in August at producer Tue Madsen's Antfarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark. Prior to entering the studio to begin the new album recordings, HATESPHERE vocalist Esben "Esse" Hansen stated about the band's new CD: "You can look forward to 40 minutes of HATESPHERE as you know it, however, seasoned with a few surprising delights! Who, for example, would expect to hear blast beats on a HATESPHERE record?"
