CHILDREN OF BODOM привлекли к работе звукоинженера Микко Кармила (Mikko Karmila), который записывал с группой ее самые влиятельные альбомы - "Hatebreeder", "Follow The Reaper" и "Hate Crew Deathroll", а также шведского продюсера Петера Тагтгрена (Peter Tägtgren, MARDUK, AMON AMARTH), который в этот раз руководил записью вокала и клавишных. Сведение альбома делалось в студии Finnvox в Хельсинки. Вот что сказал по этому поводу гитарист и вокалист CHILDREN OF BODOM Алекси Лайхо (Alexi Laiho): "'Halo Of Blood' – это восьмой студийный альбом CHILDREN OF BODOM, и – верите вы этому или нет – нам снова удалось зазвучать свежо и по-новому, сохранив при этом элементы, которые делают саунд COB узнаваемым.
