CANDLEMASS - The Curse Of Candlemass

Only two years after the double DVD “Documents Of Doom“ we get another double pack in form of “The Curse Of Candlemass"! a live concert on DVD one and bonus material on the second, in this case four live recordings, one TV appearance and an almost one-hour interview with Leif Edling, Mappe Björkman and Messiah Marcolin. The concert is from 2003, after their reunion, and one song off the comeback album has made its way here (“Witches“), other than that they have the old classics, a good set list, even though they have left out “Samarithan” (blasphemy!!!), well, you can’t have it all. The sound and light quality is great, same goes for the cut, but all of this takes a step back once Messiah enters the stage, he is one of the few front men, who have true charisma to wrap a whole venue around his little finger, he simply has an aura you can’t escape and even though everything is held in Swedish, you feel the authenticity.
