Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar a.k.a Sly & Robbie have been the Jamaican rhythm section that the smart ones trust since the 1970s: From the Rolling Stones to Bob Dylan to Madonna to Grace Jones. But here they have done their own thing, together with the Finnish Vladislav Delay, who is commissioned with remixes by Massive Attack and has released on Mille Plateaux, Leaf, Staubgold or Raster-Noton and ~scape. The result is a kind of rattling reggae out of the dark industrial dub mirror universe, which is increasingly freewheeling and spinning, creating a suction, oh no, a whole maelstrom. During the hard threesome Delay / Dunbar / Shakespeare you sometimes feel really strained like after 500-PUSH-UPS - but with the strains increasingly happy.
