Emerald - Unleashed

The Swiss band EMERALD produced 5 albums during their 17 year long career. They are well known for their classic and speedy Power Metal, rather melodic and powerful, with high vocals. Two years have passed since their last studio- album “Re-Forged”, which means: it’s time for something new! Their new album “Unleashed” (playing time ca. 45 minutes) seems to be more into the classic USMetal. Not only because guest-vocalist George Call (ASKA, Ex-OMEN) joins the band with “Eye of the Serpent”. Every now and then there are also some songs which are more like European Power Metal, which fit in very well with the US-Metal parts. In this production the guitars are more powerfulthan ever before. The band’s new vocalist Thomas Winkler (with EMERALD since “Re- Forged”) has developed his voice and thus proves that he can compete with the band’s former singer Jvo Julmy.
