KLEZTORY - Nigun

Elvira and Airat - these two are the head and motor of the Canadian ensemble KLEZTORY. A few years ago they set out from Eastern Europe to look for their happiness in Canada. Only equipped with their instruments, they managed to build up a new existence in the host country. They became sedentary, founded a family and, above all, founded the band KLEZTORY! This band plays traditional and yet fresh klezmer. Classical training and autodidactics of the musicians combines with joyful playfulness and great dedication to the interpretations. KLEZTORY form a colorful mosaic of cultures, musical education and preferences - from classical music to jazz, folk, blues. Concertgoers experience great virtuosity coupled with strong feelings. In Canada, the fifth album has been released in the spring of 2017, the most consistent so far in the development of the band and finally the occasion in Europe. The album NIGUN, the first recorded in Europe, takes the listener into the depths of klezmer, between tradition and modernity. The pieces - a mixture of their own compositions and songs from the rich Klezmer repertoire of Eastern Europe, blend in harmony and joy.
