NIGHTHAWKS - Only Vocal Tunes 2004-2016 (Digipak)

The Nighthawks have created some wonderful vocal tunes in the long span of their creative work, which are now for the first time and bundled together on the production Only (Vocals Tunes 2004-2016). Since their beginnings, the band has invited selected singers into the studio. This way a wide range of sounds was created, which definitely changed the sound of the band, towards world music sounds with the great Polish singer Anna Maria Jopek, the Roma icon Emilia Istvan, Shannon Callahan or even the cool-lounge sounds with Pat Appleton, Patricia Cruz or the Californian star Jeff Young, who worked in the environment of Steely Dan. In this cosmos of eleven groove-emphasized vocal tracks, which fit perfectly into the summer and include classics like "Descend", "Here we are", "Define the day", there are also wonderfully backbeat-heavy numbers like "A California", sung by Dal Martino, the producer and bassist of the Nighthawks. This compilation is a gift for the sunny days of the year.
