Love, Lunatics & Spacehips - a title like a road movie by Jim Jarmusch. In anticipation of an upcoming full length album, ONEIROGEN releases the "Plenitude" EP. Over 5 songs spanning 22 minutes, "Plenitude" is a concise blast of intensity, featuring vivid contrasts between industrial noise and expansive ambient music, and a deeply personal dimension unheard on past releases. As ONEIROGEN (o-NI-ro-jen), Mario Diaz de Leon creates his own style of hallucinatory music. The project was initiated in 2012 with the release of "Hypnos", which garnered widespread acclaim among fans of experimental and heavy music for its varied and cinematic style, merging ethereal synths, brutal distortion, dark ambient and noise. This was followed in 2013 with "Kiasma", an intensification of the doom/black metal elements present on the debut. With its precise song structures and haunting integration of melody and texture, the album's drum-less distortion went far beyond the categories of "drone" and "ambient", into a style unique to the album. In the 2 years since the release of "Kiasma", Diaz de Leon has developed his sound through regular live appearances in the underground metal and experimental scenes of NYC. Lyrically, the songs draw from Diaz de Leon's personal experiences and spiritual work, confronting the inner crisis of a "dark night of the soul", the "shining blast" of a kundalini awakening, and an ode to the creative and destructive powers of an archetypal mother goddess. While previous releases used vocals and percussion sparingly, the tracks "Collapsing" and "Vessel" bring these elements closer to the forefront, alongside lacerating bursts of feedback and hypnotic synth riffs. The glacially expansive title track and polyrhythmic pulses of "Emergence" conclude the EP with a balance of mesmerizing stillness and pummeling aggression.

Nugent has released more than 34 albums and has sold a career total of 30 million records. He was known throughout his early career in the 1970s for using Fender amps, a large part of his signature sound, and for playing the hollow-body Gibson Byrdland guitar. American musician, singer, songwriter from metropolitan Detroit, Michigan. Ted Nugent initially gained fame as the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes before embarking on a solo career. Intensities in 10 Cities is his second live album released in 1981 and consisting of ten songs recorded supposedly during the last ten dates of Nugent's 1980 tour. All of the songs were new and had never appeared on any previous Ted Nugent album. Nugent explained at the time that about twenty new songs were played at the beginning of the tour, and at the end the best ten were recorded live rather than in the studio later.

Whispery Seattle singer-songwriter Noah Gundersen has announced he's set to follow up his 2014 debut full-length Ledges with another inward-looking, introspective LP. His Carry the Ghost materializes August 21 through Dine Alone/Dualtone. A press release explains that the sophomore set from Gundersen includes 13 songs that try to determine our "purpose," with the songwriter "searching for answers about the nature of man and the meaning of our relationships." In the end, he apparently discovered that life can be pretty open-ended. "This album grew out of a desire to know myself, to know how I was supposed to live," Gundersen said in a statement. "And in that process, I realized that maybe there is no 'supposed to be.'" The collection was cut at Seattle's Litho Studio, with Gundersen serving as producer and esteemed studio figure Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, the Walkmen) hopping on the project as a mixer. It's opening track is an airy piano-driven ballad called "Slow Dancer," which, it's explained, is about the healing process following the end of a relationship.

"Snow Leopard Messiah" sees the long awaited reissue of two influential albums "Beauty Reaps the Blood of Solitude" and "Death in a Snow Leopard Winter" by the group NATURE AND ORGANISATION. Formed in 1983 by iconic English artist, musician and composer Michael Cashmore, NATURE AND ORGANISATION utilised a mix of acoustic instruments, surreal sound collage, cut-up super 8mm film and tape loops to create a sound that would later be regarded as influential in the genre of post-industrial music.
In the mid 80's Cashmore came into contact with David Tibet (ex-PSYCHIC TV) of the group CURRENT 93, which he later joined in 1990. For the next 20 years Cashmore wrote almost exclusively all of the music for the group including the seminal albums "Of Ruine or some Blazing Starre", "Sleep has His House", "Soft Black Stars" and "Thunder Perfect Mind". Not only is he responsible for influential songs like "A Sadness Song", "Whilst The Night Rejoices Profound And Still" or "The Bloodbells Chime" that are long considered classic of the progressive folk and industrial genre, he moreover has written music for British wave legend Marc Almond (SOFT CELL) and avant garde sensation Antony (ANTONY & THE JOHNSONS). An artist renowned for his eclectic work and poignant nature, Cashmore is revered by music lovers as one of Britain's most influential and inspiring composers.
Working with CURRENT 93 gave Cashmore the perfect opportunity to record the first true NATURE AND ORGANISATION album "Beauty Reaps the Blood of Solitude". Released in 1994 the album included collaborations with David Tibet (ex-PSYCHIC TV, CURRENT 93), Douglas P. (DEATH IN JUNE), Rose McDowall (STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE) and Steven Stapleton (NURSE WITH WOUND) and demonstrated an advancement in the sound and composition of the groups musical output. With its mix of classical, acoustic and industrial elements "Beauty Reaps the Blood of Solitude" is now regarded as one of the most influential and seminal albums in the post-industrial/neofolk genres.
Along with his work with CURRENT 93, Cashmore later in 1998 released a second NATURE AND ORGANISATION album "Death in a Snow Leopard Winter" and although the album was never actually completed it still serves as an incisive and beautiful testament to the group’s direction at this time.
"Snow Leopard Messiah" is a double CD release, pressed on two special gold coloured CDs, and presented in a foil embossed full colour 4 panel digipak containing a booklet with lyrics and photos, and with all new artwork by Cashmore and remastered by Andrew Liles (CURRENT 93, NURSE WITH WOUND, etc). Two bonus tracks are also included on disc 1 - "A dozen Summers against the World" and "To You".

Operating out of London's Cable Street studios, on the vacated docks of empire and in the shadow of Canary Wharf, Moon Zero is the project of producer and composer Tim Garratt. This self-titled debut album is the culmination of the exploratory drone work of his first EPs, 2014's 'Tombs' and 'Loss' (Denovali). Drawing on the micro-polyphony of classical modernism and analogue-leaning contemporary electronic music, it's the finest incarnation yet of an aesthetic that's both minimal and cinematic: an unhurried, massive tapestry of sound built from minute processes and hidden melodic lines. The music spools out of Garratt's mind in the form of extensively screwed up synthesizers, bowed cymbals, liquidated instruments and detuned tape loops. Bounced between effects chains, music software, mixing desks and tape, his materials are then inflated and tampered with, in different venues of a particular significance or suggestive atmosphere. The results are enigmatic, hypnotic and register a note of mourning. They are mercifully free of the obligatory club references of electronic music that's destined for a different mood but nonetheless confines itself to bygone ost-club' tropes. "I was listening to a lot of William Basinski, Bowie's 'Low', Swans, Messiaen, Stars of the Lid, Cluster, Eno. Carl Sagan," remembers Garratt. Garratt seeks out spaces in the city which can be turned into echo chambers for his ambient, avant-gardist material. Yearning to derive some meaning from a point in space-time, these resonances turn back and pacify some of the frenzied and alienating forces in both the human and the place. Like the preceding EPs, oon Zero' was recorded at St George in the East in Shadwell, London. Having written the preliminary tape loops (this time secluded and out-of-signal in rural Wales) at the end of 2014, he returned to St George in June 2015. "I only had a five hour window to record everything, which I hope gives the record a sense of spontaneity and life". Religious themes pervade the album, drones imported from ancient sects and the never-silent industrial era - a convergence that is mirrored by the dead history of the Thames and present-day flows of money and data outside his Limehouse studio. In the time between the project's inception and the 'Moon Zero' sessions, Garratt worked on readying his material to perform live. "Because of the lack of pre-recorded material, and as the previous EPs were largely improvised, it meant that I was constantly performing new sets each time I'd play a show. Although this was liberating it was also too dependent on variables that were often out of my control. So with this album I wanted to write a more coherent piece of music which could be loosely recreated in a live scenario." He refined his method with gigs at Denovali Swingfest in Essen, Germany, Zemlika Festival in Durbe, Latvia and in London, supporting artists like Ben Frost, Hauschka, Jon Hassell, Fennesz and Cold Specks. His shows are regularly proving transcendental. Moon Zero will be touring in Europe in October with label mates Oneirogen and Second Moon Of Winter.

Usually when a band pulls the "All Star" card it means that a bunch of washed up punks come together and bang out a few songs that are not good enough for their main bands. Those "All Star" projects usually release a few songs that tend to be overlooked by the public and quickly fade away as fast as they were founded. Luckily for us GREAT COLLAPSE have nothing to do with that kind of sad scene: Founded by STRIKE ANYWHERE singer Thomas Barnett when moving to the west coast (while his Richmond, VA based band took a well deserved break from recording and constant touring) GREAT COLLAPSE quickly took on a life of its own. Barnett teamed up with former RISE AGAINST guitarist Chris Chasse, SET YOUR GOALS bass player Joe Saucedo and COMEBACK KID drummer Kyle Profeta. The result was a self-produced and self-released 6 song debut EP called "Elemental" that perfectly combines catchy hardcore punk with Barnett radical anarchist politics. Pushed by this project's epic hardcore song writing and focused bright classic punk hooks, lyrically Barnett is touching on a more story driven and conceptual field of ideas, a gauntlet thrown down to challenge the post modern ecological and spiritual apocalypse we are all living through. Northern Ireland's GIRLS NAMES return with their third full-length album, "Arms Around a Vision". For fans of: The Horrors, These New Puritans, The Cure, Savages, Deerhunter, Toy, Ice Age, Fire Engines, Wire. Girls Names formed in Belfast, but they've long considered themselves a European band. Their last album, "The New Life", was an unexpected worldwide underground hit in early 2013, culminating in nominations for both the Northern Irish and Irish Music Prizes. Emboldened by the reception to that record, they returned with an 11-minute single. Typically, it does not feature on their new album. Girls Names like to do things a little differently. On "Arms Around a Vision", they're more widescreen than ever but also more direct and aggressive. The bass, drums and guitars are still there, but so are saxophones, organs, detuned broken guitars and pianos, and even sheets of metal assaulted with hammers. Conceptually, Arms Around a Vision acts as a love letter to European elegance - Italian futurism, Russian constructivism, Germany's Zero Group and both Neubauten and Bowie's Berlin. Love and pain, romance and fucking. It's all in there somewhere. An album that treads a course between Eno-era Roxy sleaze, Birthday Party dissonance and M.E.S' three R's: repetition, repetition, repetition. While the songs aren't narrative-driven as such - the band still generally favour abstraction and ambiguity - there is a consistent underlying message: "We've got nothing. We've never had anything. And we don't expect to. The only person I ever wanted to impress was myself. I've never got anywhere close to succeeding in doing that until this album."
