Уже с конца восьмидесятых, определяясь с наполненными дымом битами, Фенин работает как продюсер и музыкант между табуретками даба и электроники. в 1995 году он основал свою первую регги-группу "Tribal Notes". После распада группы Фенин окунается в бурлящую берлинскую электронную сцену и настолько увлекается битом и щелчками, что в 1997 году начинает продюсировать собственные электронные треки. В своих новых собственных работах он остается верен ямайскому расслабленному стилю и позволяет дабу сталкиваться с техно. С нигерийским певцом Gorbi у него появился конгениальный соратник, который не просто подражает ямайским тостерам, а находит свой собственный глубокий стиль.
FENIN выходил на лейблах ECHOCORD, METEOSOUND, REVOLVER, HÖR AUF, EINTAKT, SHITKATAPULT.
