By releasing their debut album “Everyone Needs A Peaceful Light” the band Nikaya moves into the focus of a small community of the art and music scene in Berlin for the first time. During their series of concerts called “BERLIN LITTLE WORLD TOUR 2011”, Nikaya was supported by Berlin artists from the 90’s such as Capt. Space Sex and Marva+Maschin-Klan and by G punkt EFFEKT (Punk-Chansons) and young DJ Bettibobikepunk (60’s), too. This new generation of excellent artists about lead singer and composer Florian Kusch (guitar/e-piano), drummer Julian Schütte, bass player Johannes Danker and Philipp Künzel doing the electronics, is often associated with The Cure, Mission and Joy Division in the broadest sense. - Nikaya is the Newcomer Band of the year. They start where The Editors stoped and they are much younger. From the first to the last track this album makes just fun to listen. Pure energy from Berlin.
