Founded in January 2019, BEND THE FUTURE is a progressive rock band from Grenoble, France. The band is most notable for its odd time signature melodies that incorporate elements of 70s prog rock, jazz, funk and Eastern European music into its sound. Bend the Future was founded by Can Yýldýrým (guitars/vocals), Rémi Pouchain (bass), Pierre-Jean Ménabé (saxophone) and Piel Pawlowski (drums). More recently, the band reached its final formation after Samy Chebre (keyboards) joined. At the end of 2019, BEND THE FUTURE released their debut album "Pendellösung". "Without Notice" is the second album and the first release for Tonzonen Records.

Live At Studio Helmtown" was broadcasted on April 24th 2020 during the lockdown of the Corona crisis via Youtube live stream from the studio of the Neo- Krautrock / Experimental duo SOUNDS OF NEW SOMA. It is an almost 45 minutes long live session, in which some of the well-known tracks were reinterpreted. Already on April 10th 2020 Vol.1 was broadcasted from the studio Helmtown. Both short sessions of the band are the first live performances of the duo ever.

His latest project Lichtpyramide focusses on kosmische/kraut and is 100% instant composing (okay 98%, there’s two passages read from books), making heavy use of a 4 track loop station paired with various synthesizers, guitars, analogue outboard gear and mixer and an Otari MX5050iii eight track tape recorder. The outcome is a blend of soundscapes, short improvised pieces, musical sketches and spoken word. The first side of this LP was released on cdr, as a gig exclusive last November at the Fruits De Mer & Megadodo labelnight in Bristol. The second side is a selection of similar, more recent recordings, some of which were published on his Bandcamp page.
