SCHUMANN QUARTETT - Schubert:Fragment(String Quartets)

After the three concept albums Landscapes, Intermezzo & Chiaroscuro, which were awarded, among other things, an annual German Record Critics' Prize and an Opus Klassik, the world-famous Schumann Quartet Franz Schubert - and 2 ½ is dedicated to its string quartets. Franz Schubert's D Major String Quartet (No. 6, D. 74) begins its chronology as an early work. It is followed by the quartet movement in C minor, D. 703 with the Andante fragment as a work of the middle years. The crowning glory is the world-famous Rosamunde Quartet, the only one of the fifteen quartets, the was performed during Schubert's lifetime.
