Despite an entire year without shows, James found a way to create & connect with audiences during the peak of Coronavirus NY lockdown. José James is known for assembling some of the best live bands in the world, and his New York 2020 crew is no exception. Each song resonates with the creative urgency of an effervescent, resilient 2020 New York City. OTHER: • Each song from José James (Live at Levon Helm Studios) has an accompanying video, shot on 7 cameras from Levon Helm Studios. Videos will be released on YouTube alongside the songs. • I Found A Love (feat. Taali) will be released as a single timed with Valentine's Day 2021. • In 2021, Rainbow Blonde Records is breaking new ground and expanding its reach to Europe with both José James and Taali relocating to Amsterdam for the entire year. There they will be welcomed as Artists in Residence, and plan to promote forward-thinking approaches in the return to live shows. As they learned in the recording of their live albums, the idea of a "show" may not return for some time, but in marketing each album, the label will re envision and broaden the live music experience tailored to a 2021 environment. As such, the marketing plan will build on brand, venue and online partnerships focused on new forms of musical connection.
