Recorded almost twice, because Virgin was not statisfied with the original versions. After re-recordings Virgin rejected the whole album and it was only released by Love Records. Virgin used some of the albums songs on the compilation "Rumours on the rebound". First pressings of "Dark Album" include an inner sleeve with lyrics, later do not. In 1985 200 copies of the original version were pressed by mistake, some of them were sold before it was noticed. Covers and the labels of this mispress are the same as the official version, only the music differs.
