Hailing from Basingstoke, Southern England, the formidable Pussycat is renowned for prowling the audience whilst the adrenaline fuelled Dirty Johnson boys pound out their infectious brand of dirty rock 'n' roll. Like all cats they are hard to pin down and have been described as one of the most incendiary live bands in the UK. Pussycat and the Dirty Johnsons bring high impact rawr power to the stage and have managed to capture that unadulterated trash punk assault to the senses on their first three albums; Exercise Your Demons, Dirty Rock’n’Roll and Ain’t No Pussy - all of which received glowing reviews. The 12 new blistering tracks of freshly squeezed unadulterated Rock’n’Roll will appeal to fans of Boss Hog, Grinderman or the Slits. “Driven by furious surf-punk riffs and uncontainable enthusiasm, Pussycat and the Dirty Johnsons certainly know how to blaze a trail and instigate a proper sweaty mosh fest.” Underground England enthuses. “From their raucous live performance to frontwoman Puss Johnson’s cheeky feline persona, this is the kind of punk band that storms to life on stage, oozing with confidence and style. The sound here is a progression of barbed wire rock n’ roll standing against the organic sounds of the past by evoking a modern feel.” Beast was recorded, mixed and mastered by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse Studios. Production was handled by Wayne Adams and the Dirty Johnsons. All songs arranged by Pussycat and the Dirty Johnsons. The line-up is Puss Johnson on vocals and guitar, Dirty Jake on guitar and backing vocals and Filfy Antz on drums and backing vocals. In spring, after their rousing performance on the Trashville Stage at the Azkena Rock Festival in 2019, they were invited back to tour Spain, which had to be postponed to 2021 due to the corona crisis. Pussycat and the Dirty Johnsons have supported Jon Spencer, Thee Oh Sees, The Fuzztones, The Polecats, The Rezillos, Bow Wow Wow, Mad Sin, The Damned and many more big name bands. They have played hundreds of shows, including annual tours across the UK and many festivals.
