Fifteen years have passed since Christian Rannenberg released his last album with Acoustic Music. But this arch-elder of the blues piano is now back with an eighteen-cut CD, and he is more compelling than ever. This recording is like being at a great blues club in Chicago or the Bay area. It's as if the man at the piano was taking you through a night full of atmosphere, at times solo, at times with the support of guest musicians he gets along with musically like a house on fire.
