LYKANTROPI - Tales To Be Told

Digisleeve. The mysterious, inexplicable and obscure have always been what primarily defines Lykantropi. Rock music that comes from the Scandinavian forest and wilderness, deforestation and mire, bottomed within our folklore, myths and legends. We can not see or touch it, but definitely feel it, experience it and pass it on. Lykantropi From the dark woods of Värmland, Sweden, the vintage rock band Lykantropi invites their listeners to their slightly melancholic rock, delivered by enchanting female and male vocals in symbiosis that consolidates the lycanthropic touch painted by diverse, catchy melodies. The music is inspired by the 70's rock that consists of an equal part of their embracing of nature and its force, both good and evil. In today's society the old folk tales can be thought to belong to the delusions of the past. With their enchanting riffs and beautiful harmonies Lykantropi takes us via the werewolf transformation back to the rock and folk music of the early 70's. Sweet harmonies reminiscent of the Mamas & The Papas are layered with electric guitars and flutes into a witch's brew. A witch brew that also can be compared to other mighty bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Coven and Blue Öyster Cult. The interest of Lykantopi has continued and grown since their debut album in 2017. Lykantropi is now known as one of the most exciting band in Sweden of their genre for many years, which has been confirmed by media such as Aftonbladet (Biggest newspaper in Sweden), Sweden Rock Magazine, Power Play (9 of 10, UK), Eclipsed (DE) and Norway Rock Magazine to name a few. For 2020, Lykantropi is back to release another vintage rock diamond, their third album 'Tales to be Told' including the strong singles 'Coming Your Way', 'Kom ta mig ut' and Axis of Margaret. The first single went straight into New Music Friday on Spotify and the single was premiered by V13 (UK) (watch here and Classic Rock/Louder (UK) did include them in their 'Tracks of the Week'. (watch here) Beyond that, the single was shared by medias all over the world. 2020 started strong on the live-side with several festivals booked in Sweden and was booked as support band for the well-known rockband Graveyard's tour in Sweden, which all has been postpones to 2021 due Covid-19. Instead has the band invested in visuals and video content during the year. In July, the band release a new music video for the first single 'Coming Your Way' with premier partners such as Sweden Rock Magazine and Eclipsed, which will be followed by another music video for the next single 'Kom ta mig ut'. (Release in September) This spring, the band released a live session recorded in the forests of Värmland and livestreamed for Gaffa (biggest music magazine in Sweden) Now the band's booking agent are booking gigs for the coming year and we all keep our fingers crossed that we'll fight the pandemic so that the world's live scenes open up again!
