The band took once again a different approach to their previous release The Nightly Disease [MOVLP1506] featuring a much rawer and at times more experimental sound with Krautrock and Garage Rock influences taking turns. Grit starts off with a considerable swagger on two grimy Rock numbers: "Blood Shot Adult Commitment" and leadoff single "Ready". Augmented by traditional Americanatinged minor key ballads that Madrugada are famous for, this is their most varied of their studio albums thus far
