Nicolas Bougaïeff - The Upward Spiral

Berlin-based French-Canadian producer and musician Nicolas Bougaïeff will release his album debut on July 24th with "The Upward Spiral" on Mute. On it, Bougaïeff translates familiar linguistic images into his own vision of body music. While the album is primarily industrial techno, on closer listening it unfolds a multitude of levels of meaning which the Quebec-born musician has devised over the years and, so to speak, transferred subcutaneously into the pieces presented here: "The Upward Spiral" is his very own contribution to the club canon.
