SODOMISERY, hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, was formed in 2015 by Harris Sopovic. RADIO BROADCAST RECORDING FROM SMASHING PUMPKINS ADORE TOUR Recorded following the death of Billy Corgan's mother, and in the wake of his divorce, 1998's Adore represented a significant change of style from the Smashing Pumpkins' previous guitar-based rock, veering into electronica. The record, cut with assistance from drum machines and studio drummers including Matt Walker from Filter, was infused with a darker aesthetic than much of the band's earlier work. The group also modified its public image, shedding its alternative rock look for a more subdued appearance. Although Adore received favourable reviews and was nominated for Best Alternative Performance at the Grammy Awards, the album had only sold about 830,000 copies in the United States by the end of the year. It nonetheless sold three times as many copies overseas. The band began a seventeen-date, fifteen-city charity North American tour in support of Adore. At each stop on such, the band donated 100 percent of tickets sales to a local charity organization. The Pumpkins also played 14 dates overseas and in Canada, one of which, on 19th of July, was at the Chum City Building in Toronto, the headquarters of Bell Media. This CD features the full show the Smashing Pumpkins performed at this venue on the date in question, where they put on an extraordinary gig, including cuts from the new record alongside a host of tracks from previous albums. Included too as bonus cuts on this CD, two tracks from the Smashing Pumpkins set at Neil Young s Bridge School Benefit show from the previous year, when they performed alongside Marilyn Manson.

SMASHING PUMPKINS RARE LIVE UNPLUGGED BROADCAST PERFORMANCES Formed in 1988 in Chicago by Billy Corgan (lead vocals, guitar), D'arcy Wretzky (bass guitar), James Iha (guitar), and Jimmy Chamberlin (drums), The Smashing Pumpkins disavowed the punk ethic of many of their alt-rock contemporaries, developing quickly a diverse, densely layered, and guitar-heavy sound, containing elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, dream pop, psychedelia, prog, shoegazing, and, in later recordings, electronica. With Corgan as the group's primary songwriter with his musical ambitions and cathartic lyrics, he shaped the band's albums and songs, which have been described as "anguished and bruised, straight from Billy Corgan's nightmares". The Pumpkins broke into the mainstream with their second album, 1993 s Siamese Dream; the release reached No.10 on the Billboard chart and eventually sold over 5 million copies in the US alone. In support of the record the band toured extensively and performed for the cameras too on a number of occasions, largely playing Unplugged and fully acoustic at such events. This CD collects together a number of these acoustic performances, recorded for live transmission during 1993, which illustrates just how strong the Pumpkins compositions are, that in a stripped down live setting they have the same dynamic force as in their original studio versions. Bonus cuts here, feature a further acoustic performance from 1991, recorded while the band were promoting their debut, Gish.

SIX long years after the release of their, some might say classic sophomore album 'Deep Mountain', the worlds most reclusive sludge rockers Sloath return with their imaginatively titled third album 'lll'. "III" is conceived in a burst of activity around Christmas 2014. Geographical displacement and a slimming of the ranks necessitate an economy of style - a streamlining of the group's already minimalist approach. Grooves tauten as ballast turns to muscle. The new songs blow the roof off a packed gig in their former home town and the group scatter once more. They reconvene in the spring of 2015 to play the Raw Power festival in London, and triumph in spite of failing equipment. Shortly thereafter, the new suite is recorded with Tim Cedar (Part Chimp etc) at Dropout in Camberwell. Again the band disperse. The recordings mature in an old oak whisky barrel. It will be four years before the group can gain perspective on the scale of the "new" LP and complete the tortuous mixing process. "III" is finally handed in to Riot Season in the autumn of 2019. Sloath have existed since 2007. Their music is a synthesis of classic rock, minimalism and extreme volume. They have shared stages with Bardo Pond, Om and Hey Colossus. They currently reside in Kent, London, Berlin and Zaragoza. Their two previous LPs, "Sloath" (2010) and "Deep Mountain" (2014) were also released on Riot Season.

7 years after the elaborate pop masterpiece "Gospel", Pieter Gabriel is back with a concept album about a love affair. However, "The Lost Art of Questioning Everything" is not a useful detoxification work, which is supposed to wash the ex-girlfriend out of the cardiovascular system. Gabriel's self-conception as a songwriter has matured too much for that, to appreciate form and relevance of his own doing so little. The basic structure of the 11 songs gathered here was already created during the relationship period. The track-sequencing of the album is based on a chronological relationship process: the introduction is light and easy; jumps through clouds of cotton candy ("1979"). After the high-altitude flight it becomes cloudy and gravity strikes ("Sonnet"). The emotional spectrum of the experience is passed through in phase and ends in a silent and therefore meaningful ambient piece. You don't lose, if you don't play. Nevertheless, a concept always works best when it does not show itself offensively. And in this sense Pieter Gabriel is fortunately clever enough to make the album work without knowing about the narrative bracket. Through the incorruptible quality of the individual songs, which at the same time trace the phases of a highly personal period of life linearly. In the orchestration sleep sleep sleep uses - as already on "Gospel" - everything that the musical world cultural heritage provides: Tennismatch samples and Beach Boys psychedelia ("The City"), Dream Pop ("Los Angeles", 1979"), Disco meets Uptempo Krautrock ("One for the Road") and Folk TripHop ("Blue Hell") are combined with a new self-confident handwriting to form an unmistakable pop design. It is the stylistic range that has so far made live performances impossible. Also in this sense Pieter Gabriel, the "underdog among the wunderkinder" (The Gap), will remain true to himself". Gabriel has pre-produced and arranged the album at home on his own. The voices and drums were recorded by Stefan Plattner-Deisenberger (formerly Naked Lunch, Nowhere Train). He also mixed and produced the album together with Gabriel. The house and yard drummer was Markus Perner from Garish. Further musical guests are Sophie Lindinger (Leyya), Lukas Lauermann, Emily Stewart, Katarina Maria Trenk (formerly Sex Jams), Isidora Krstic, Hanibal Scheutz (5/8erl in Ehr'n), Martin Mitterstieler (Nowhere Train) and David Schweighart (Schrecken, Voodoo Jürgens Band).
