Jorn, one of the greatest rock singers of the 21st century, published his now ninth original studio album Life On Death Road with Lightness. This absolutely brilliant new album showed land with a rejuvenated power, which accompanied by its new band with an even stronger and bigger sound. Life On Death Road was not an easy album. The songwriting took several months of hard work to get all visions together. Jorn wanted to raise the music to a new level in order to advance the overall concept of the band even further. The result is an album that contains, at the same time, profound, strong and powerful songs. Songs such as Man Of The 80's, Love Is The Remedy, Death On Death Road, and Hangman Robe catch the essence of Jorn as a singer, songwriter and lyricist. The album also marks the debut of the new line-up, which consists of very experienced and talented musicians from the Norwegian singer. On the bass is Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner, Kiske / Somerville), which no longer needs more words and is well known in the European Metal scene. Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Revolution Saints), who already played for the cover album Heavy Rock Radio, is responsible for the keyboard and production. 140g black Vinyl / Gatefold Sleeve EPSILON's music improved considerably on their second offering MOVE ON (1972). It consists of clear prog-rock elements like inspired organ passages, classical music parts, some more complicated soloing or beautiful acoustic guitars fragments. But still the sound of the band had changed since the release of their debut album. Following a more commercial approach, the songs became shorter and the guitars more prominent. Nevertheless a few tracks on MOVE ON are absolutely essential for prog rock fans. When the album came out, they could be seen as a German parallel to TRAFFIC, with their soulish vocals, instrumentation of organ, guitars and flute and their slightly jazzy mood - just listen to the tracks FEELINGS and MOVE ON. At the time of MOVE ON's release in December 1971, both Ortel and Ertl had already quit. EPSILON, which was originally formed from the ashes of the two legendary formations NOSFERATU and ORANGE PEEL, virtually moved on! This revamped group warmed up for the British band IF, during their German tour of 1972. Peter Koch (ex-Jeronimo) was temporarily added as a fifth member during this year. Produced by Peter Hauke and Dieter Dierks. EMPIRE is the Hard Rock band of German guitarist Rolf Munkes (ex Majesty, ex Razorback, Crematory) which has released four exceptional albums in between the years of 2001 and 2007. On these releases, Munkes was accompanied by numerous high-class musicians. In 2017, German label Pride & Joy Music will re-issue all four releases in a revised version. The Raven Ride which will be released on August 25th, 2017 will now include one bonus track. The history of EMPIRE began in the year 2001 with the release of the album Hypnotica (Lion Music) which featured both the American singers Mark Boals (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) and Lance King (ex Nightmare) on vocals. The line-up at the time was completed by Neil Murray (bass, ex Whitesnake, Brian May Band, Black Sabbath etc.), Gerald Klos (drums), Anders Johansson (drums, ex Stratovarius) and Don Airey (keyboards, ex Rainbow, Deep Purple). Rolf Munkes produced Hypnotica himself; the mix was handled by Stefan Kaufmann (ex Accept, ex U.D.O.). Only one year later, Trading Souls , the band s second album came out on Lion Music. The CD once again was produced by Munkes with the mix being handled by Kaufmann. On this release, singer extraordinare Tony Martin (ex Black Sabbath) replaced King and Martin on the vocal spot. Tony Martin also sang on the up until now most successful CD from EMPIRE, The Rave Ride , which was released in 2006 on German label Metal Heaven. Besides of Munkes, who, for the first also produced and mixed this release himself at his own Empire Studios in Bensheim, Germany, Neil Murray took again care of the bass work whilst the drums this time were handled by ex-Rage/ex-Axxis drummer André Hilgers. In 2007, the so far last album of EMPIRE saw the light of day. Chasing Shadows was once again released on Metal Heaven and the first record feat. former Rainbow singer Doogie White in the line-up. Mike Terrana (ex Rage, ex Axel Rudi Pell, Tarja Turunen) joined the group on drums.
