180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL Silver Cycles is an album by American jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris recorded in 1968 and released on the Atlantic label. Harris is best known for introducing the electrically amplified saxophone. The music on this record is by turns swinging, touching, and peaceful bursting with new ideas generated from Harris' plunge into electronics. There is good old Latinized funk in the opening cuts, "Free at Last" and "1974 Blues". Silver Cycles peaked #3 in the Jazz Albums Chart in 1969.

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL Recorded live in front of a packed concert hall, or full house if you will, "Live" Full House is the third album by the J. Geils Band. Originally released in 1972, the record peaked at number 54 on the Billboard album chart in the USA. The Boston based band's first live album was recorded over two nights in April of 2 at the Cinderella Ballroom in Detroit, Michigan, and kind of set up things for the breakthrough success of their next album - especially the tracks "Serves You Right To Suffer" and "Looking For A Love" which enjoyed quite some radio airplay in the States. The live album itself charted for 26 weeks and was eventually certified Gold. Combining Chicago Blues and Classic Rock (and throwing in some Motown too), the J. Geils Band's raw energy seems to jump out of the speakers like a burning locomotive. One of the best live albums ever pressed on vinyl, the only complaint one could have is that the album is too short. Be assured that this rock 'n' roll onslaught is a blast from start to finish.

A combination of high production standards, the growing confidence of the main songwriting team of Tony Wilson and Erroll Brown, and tight harmonies enabled them to secure big hits such as "You Sexy Thing"and "Every 1's A Winner". Hot Chocolate enjoyed an enthusiastic following in England, and in the U.S., Hot Chocolate had two major hits: "You Sexy Thing" in 1975 and "Every 1's a Winner" in 1978. That Rock-influenced Soul gem is the opener on the group's fourth album, which is also titled Every 1's A Winner. The track listing is solid, including the moving ballad "Sometimes It Hurts to Be a Friend" as well as the message song "Love Is the Answer One More Time" and the moody Euro-disco number "Put Your Love in Me." This is a Soul-Funk album that isn't afraid to draw on British Pop/Rock influences like David Bowie and Elton John. Nor were Hot Chocolate afraid to incorporate Afro-Caribbean influences - "Confetti Day," for example, could be described as an interesting marriage of reggae, Bowie, and Stax/Volt.
