Garland Jeffreys - The King Of In Between

An artist The New Yorker said “positively oozes New York,” Garland Jeffreys is back with his first album in thirteen years, entitled The King of In Between. Best known for the often-recorded song, “Wild in the Streets” and his cover of ? And The Mysterians “96 Tears,” Garland has been recording since 1969 (when he worked with Grinder’s Switch). Now back with a new set, King jumps through a mix of styles, from rock to blues to reggae, while maintaining a decidedly New York vibe. Co-produced by Garland and Larry Campbell and recorded at New York’s Legendary Record Plant, the album features Steve Jordan, Mike Merritt and Duke Levine along with guests Lou Reed and Duncan Sheik.
