The Heart of Infnite Change is Natasha Agrama’s forthcoming debut full-length album, joining the west coast jazz imprint World Galaxy for its release across vinyl, cassette, CD, and digital platforms September 8, 2017. Features include legends both foundational and new, drawing together Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Tony Austin, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mitchell Long, Ruslan Sirota, Ronald Bruner Jr., Doug Webb, and the last recordings of the late and great Austin Peralta. The Heart of Infnite Change is a representation of roads defning Agrama’s artistic connection to the LA music world and beyond, diving into compositions by Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, Joe Henderson, and Bilal. As a nod to the jazz tradition, interpretation and revitalization are at the forefront of her debut. There is a deeply touching story weaving its way around The Heart of Infnite Change, with an unspeakably tender theme of long time friends and legendary artists’ fnal collaborations gracing Natasha’s path. Stanley Clarke and George Duke’s last studio collaborations are present with Ellington’s “In A Sentimental Mood,” and Bilal’s “All Matter.” The story deepens as we come to realize Peralta’s last recordings are also found on The Heart of Infnite Change. This was Peralta’s only session with both Bruner brothers, capturing Joe Henderson’s “Black Narcissus” and Agrama’s updated version of Mingus’ “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat” by way of Joni Mitchell. Franco Ambrosetti celebrated his 75th birthday in the studio in Brooklyn with his musical friends, who have accompanied him on his long career. The result is not randomly CHEERS, when the recording in the System Two Studio in Brooklyn, NY was a happy birthday mood. The friends, illustrious guests, who immediately became enthusiastic when they were invited, came to the extraordinary quartet Franco Ambrosetti / Kenny Barron / Buster William / Jack DeJohnette. Franco grew up in a jazz-fueled family, his father Flavio played Alt Saxophon as a guest with Lionel Hampton's band and became swinging Bebop Pioneer in Europe after hearing a concert with Charlie Parker in 1947. After a key experience with the Stan Kenton orchestra, Franco wanted to learn the trumpet, after a year of self-study Franco was ready and accepted as a professional. Charlie Mingus and Stan Kenton wanted to oblige him but Papa Flavio insisted that Franco first studied finished. Franco soon began his industrial career (AMBROSETTI TECHNOLOGIES) and at the same time his musical path. New this time is that there are only two original compositions by Ambrosetti on CHEERS, otherwise well-known standards - but how are they played and interpreted! The sixth album of the Viennese string quartet, co-produced by Bugge Wesseltoft, resists any genre attribution. This music has many names. Music, created by two violins, viola, cello and the human voice. Artists reluctantly make drawers to categorize their work, but the radio.string.quartet has done it. Because with such a word monster no one can start anything, they push the Na-If instrumentalists talk of visions, then they are little words with which they convey these.
