Originally self-released on a CDr in 2005, and then (officially) by R.A.I.G. In 2006, 'Salt The Wound' is considered a milestone within the stoner rock underground. It led USX straight to signing with Neurot Recordings, as the album clearly stormed and swept the scene with its sincere and emotionally-charged qualities. Comparable to the likes of Neil Young's starving curiosity on his early albums, Neurosis' later ones, Hawkwind to Caustic Resin's spaced-out ones and God Machine's only two mournful albums, while delivering a genuine, graphic and terrestrial diatribe with an impact that is still throbbing nowadays. 'Salt The Wound' brilliantly kicks off with 'Lazarus'; a slow-paced and darkly Northern Carolina Appalachian-blues ballad that gradually builds up into a sonic statement of abrasive electric guitars, steady and acumen Theremin flickering and feverish synths. Continued by the attack in full force through the foggy-blackened upbeat of 'Death By Horses' and the acidic bubbling doom of the 'Devil's Flower' to the monolithic instrumental hard rock of 'Thin The Herd' and back again to the hazy (and also instrumental) space-rock dirge of 'Norpo', 'Salt The Wound' is a rare and uncut diamond of surreal sludge beauty that should be referred to as a contemporary classic. digipack. For that reason alone, Veracrash are among the most psychedelic bands out there today. All is mercurial and one can never quite get settled in. Forget the days of flowers and beads, Veracrash's version of psychedelia will have the listener grasping for the wooden stakes and pitchforks. I don't know whether I want to call the songwriting on 'My Brother The Godhead' a virtuosic performance or a schitzophrenic one, so I'll just say the album makes a very strong impression. In its purest form the psychedelic music genre takes the listener on a trip and that's the least of what Veracrash do here. For the most part they seem to do away with song structure altogether, establishing strong verse / chorus openers, then abandoning them altogether as they discover new paths along the way and with a shrug, guide the listener haphazardly off the beaten trails. It's an unlicensed guided tour through every underground hard rock and metal genre you can name that embraces the use of the fuzzbox. In the end, somewhere beneath all the noise and beauty and brutality is a strong identity and taken as a whole, it's a solid album that cruises along nicely, albeit bumpily Record Label: Go Down Records Style: Alternative Rock

35007 is the code name for a projectile with a unique sound. Ranging from firm grooves drenched in multiple layers of sound and hypnotic riffs to flowing soundscapes. A fine combination of past and future in influences and technique. This sound has been captured on the very well-received albums "Especially for You" - 1994 (remastered and rereleased in '99) and "35007" - 1997, released exactly 50 years after Chuck Yeager's first sonic boom. These albums contain instrumental as well as tracks with vocals. The 10" / CDM "Sea of Tranquillity" - 2001, marked the appearance of 35007 MARK IV as well as the shift to even more hypnotic instrumental terrain. It goes beyond the conventional rock formula and astonished critics and audience. It was followed in 2002 by the fully instrumental sound track "Liquid", which continued to expand the boundaries of their sonic universe. The album contains 4 voluminous tracks which take the listener on a surprising and sometimes unexpected journey. On the latest release, "Phase V", 35007 continue the fully instrumental journey, this time leading into more abstract terrain, led by the roman philosopher Boethius (480-526) who stated that "music is mathematics made audible". With the digit 5 hovering predominantly, the album is about numbers and sounds. No words, no images. The new album has already been nicknamed "songs for the blind", appropriately "visualized" by the minimal and sensuous artwork. Without the benefit of vision, the ears seem to work much better. Phase V is an intermediate state. No physical manifestation is to be expected in the foreseeable future, only time will tell what the next phase will be.
