It was released in 1985, four years after his previous effort, Dad Loves His Work [MOVLP893], and contains a cover version of Buddy Holly's "Everyday", as well as the participation of a number of artists, including Don Henley, Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash. Taylor had found his long-term niche with baby boomer fans now permanently tuned to Soft Rock radio - this was Taylor's fi rst record to spawn three Top Ten adult contemporary hits, with the title track, "Only One" and a cover of Buddy Holly's "Everyday". That's Why I'm Here eventually went platinum.

Keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Billy Martin came together in 1991 for gigs at New York's Village Gate and never looked back, touring relentlessly and issuing a succession of stimulating recordings that embraced Soul-Jazz, Bebop, Funk, R&B, DJ culture and the avantgarde, often at the same time. A master improviser with a trademark distortion-tinged tone, Scofield cut his teeth with Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan, Charles Mingus and Gary Burton before his work with Miles Davis catapulted him into the limelight in the 1980s. Since then, he's become universally known as one of the greatest fi gures in Jazz guitar history. The blueprint for their 2014 album Juice was found in a compilation of African-derived music put together by drummer Billy Martin and shared among the ensemble. "We all love music from Brazil, the Caribbean, and Latin America, and it has always been intertwined with jazz," explains Medeski. "We got together and started exploring that connection in our own way." "This is our version of different African-based forms," Scofield echoes. "Or, at least, that's what we started with.eventually we said, 'This is the outline, but we can do whatever the hell we want.'"

In hip circles it was known as the "new thing"-Portuguese translation: bossa nova. Brazilian Folk, Samba, Pop and American Jazz formed the basis of a new music, featuring subtle rhythms and highly lyrical melodies. Singer Joao Gilberto and composer / pianist Antonio Carlos Jobim are two of the most important men responsible for the creation of Bossa Nova. Herbie Mann has always enjoyed a reputation as a musical internationalist. He was the leading exponent of Afro-Cuban music in the Jazz and Pop music fi elds. Mann was also one of the first American musicians to hear the new Brazilian music when he journeyed to that country, and he was fascinated by it. On his return to the Unites States, Mann introduced the music to audiences wherever he played. In 1965, Mann fl ew to Rio to record with a group of Brazilian musicians. Antonio Carlos Jobim helped him prepare the material for the recording sessions, and developed a great respect for Mann's understanding of and his ability to play Brazilian music. Jobim plays piano on several tracks and sings on "One Note Samba". Joao Gilberto has come to be recognized as the voice of the new Brazilian music.

The album coincides with the documentary We're Still Here: Johnny Cash's Bitter Tears Revisited, which traces the history of Bitter Tears and the making of Look Again To The Wind. The film is directed by Antonio D'Ambrosio, author of A Heartbeat And A Guitar, a book about the making of Bitter Tears. Its cover artwork is designed by well-known artist Shepard Fairey, who designed the iconic Barack Obama "Hope" Poster and the Led Zeppelin album cover for Mothership, among other works.

Along with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer he was one of the core members of the band The Wailers (1963-1974). Tosh also established himself as a successful solo artist. In 1978 he was contracted by Rolling Stones Records and the album Bush Doctor was released in the same year, introducing Tosh to a larger audience. The single from the album, a cover version of The Temptations song "Don't Look Back", performed as a duet with Mick Jagger, made Tosh one of the best-known reggae artists. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is also featured on the album, playing guitar on "Bush Doctor" and "Stand Firm". The re-issue with remastered audio is pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.

Quickly, he became a regular on the East Coast folk circuit. A lot of his early recordings are versions of Lowland Scots and Appalachian folk songs. His first album saw the light of day in 1962. Credited by Rolling Stone magazine with ushering in the era of the singer/songwriter, Rush sang songs by then new songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Murray McLauchlan, helping them to gain recognition early in their careers, in addition to performing his own compositions. On his 1970 self titled album Tom Rush - his 7th album - he covers songs from fellow folkies such as Jackson Browne, Murray McLauchlan, James Taylor and David Wiffen, with a hint of country sneaking into the arrangements. The music of Tom Rush has left its stamp on generations of artists. James Taylor once told Rolling Stone, Tom was not only one of my early heroes, but also one of my main influences.

The album dates from the earlier part of Roy Ayers' career as a leader, before he delved heavily into R&B and Funk fusions and instead concentrated more on Soul-Jazz grooves. Producer Herbie Mann, a talent scout pur sang, assembled an exceptional septet for Ayers with Gary Bartz on alto sax, arranger Charles Tolliver on trumpet/flugelhorn, Hubert Laws on flute, Herbie Hancock on piano, Ron Carter or Miroslav Vitous on bass and Grady Tate on drums. The program is a typical late 1960s menu, heavy on such Top 40 pop covers as the dated Stoned Soul Picnic, For Once In My Life and What The People Say. Ayers plays some of his finest-ever work on two modal originals: the lovely A Rose For Cindy and Tolliver's waltz Lil's Paradise.
