Изначально задуманные легендарными шведскими металистами как один войной альбом, "Deliverance" и "Damnation" в итоге были выпущены по отдельности, в 2002 и 2003 годах соответственно. Эту историческую погрешность Music For Nations исправили почти 15 лет спустя, в 2015 году, выпустив эти альбомы вместе в одном бокссете.

Виниловое издание релиза включило новый стерео ремастеринг обоих альбомов на трех 180-граммовых пластинках, сделанный Bruce Stoord (Deliverance) и Steve Wilson (Damnation), а также переделанный артворк от оригинального дизайнера альбомов Трэвиса Смита. Мастер для винила сделал Jaime Gomez.

Opeth — метал-группа из Швеции. Для музыки Opeth характерно тяжелое дэт-металическое звучание с добавлением мелодичных партий акустической гитары, элементов джаза, блюза и прогрессивного рока 1970-х годов. Вокалист Микаэль Окерфельдт использует как чистый вокал, так и гроулинг. Название группы взято из книги Уилбура Смита The Sunbird, где «Opet» было названием вымышленного города.
