Легендарные прогрессив металисты из Атланты MASTODON выпустят свой новый мини альбом, получивший название "Cold Dark Place EP". В него войдут четыре ранее не изданных трека. Три из них, "North Side Star", "Blue Walsh" и "Cold Dark Place", были записаны во время сессии альбома "Once More ‘Round The Sun" 2014 года и были спродюсированы Ником Рэскалениксом, а трек "Toe to Toes" был записан на сессии последнего альбома "Emperor Of Sand" с продюсером Бренданом О'брайаном. На 22 сентября намечен релиз мини альбома на CD, а 27 октября выйдет лимитированное издание альбома на 12-дюймовом picture vinyl. Mastodon — знаменитая американская метал-группа, в звучании которой соединились сладж, грув и прогрессив с элементами стоунера. Основана в 1999 году барабанщиком Брэнном Дейлором и гитаристом Биллом Келлихером. В 2007 году группа (с «Colony of Birchmen») была номинирована на Грэмми в категории The Best Metal Performance.
