Bob Marley), all to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust. French Boutik chose "The Place I Love", from The Jam's 1978 "All Mod Cons album", with Popincourt opting for "Tonight at Noon" from the previous year's "This is the Modern World." After overcoming their understandable intimidation covering classics from their heroes, both managed to come up with their own personalized takes, and were satisfied enough with the result to propose a separate split 45 for vinyl fans in addition to the songs inclusion' on the Specialized "Gifted" cd compilation. "The Place I Love" becomes French Boutik's "L'Endroit que j'aime," a psyche pop hymn with church bells ringing in a misty cowboy and film noir filled dream, while Popincourt's take on "Tonight at Noon" also has a dreamy feel with a more relaxed pace than the original, rearranged with subtle harmonies, organ and harpsichord. All profits from the sale of the vinyl will benefit the Specialized Project

The Down ‘N’ Outz is the project founded and fronted by Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and backed by members of The Quireboys, Wayward Sons and Vixen. The band pays tribute to rock legends Mott The Hoople and was established from the most unusual of circumstances … in the words of Joe Elliott: "When Mott The Hoople announced they were reforming for a week's worth of shows at the Hammersmith Odeon I was asked that I participate in some capacity. They've always been my favourite band and it's nice to see the rest of the rock world finally catch up and give them their due." "But, what was I to do? It was suggested to me that the Quireboys would be up for offering their services. This was perfect! A fan since their first album, I loved the idea of working with a band as enthusiastic to do this as I was. I decided that the thing to do was play some songs that like-minded people thought they would never hear live again, if ever, songs by spin offs of Mott the Hoople - songs by Mott, Ian Hunter and British Lions. Songs that are close to my heart, songs that I've played every week for the best part of 35 years on record, cassette, CD, iPod and now live." The Down 'N Outz supported Mott The Hoople at one of their legendary 2009 reformation shows at Hammersmith Odeon. Following a rapturous reception, the one night project took on a life and energy of its own and an album project was born. The band then decided to record an album, “My Re-Generation” produced by Elliott and Ronan McHugh (Def Leppard), which was recorded in Elliott's personal studio with basic tracking done at Moor Hall studio Bedfordshire by engineer Chris Corney. The album featured entirely covers of songs by artists related to Mott the Hoople, such as Mott, British Lions and Ian Hunter. The band made an appearance at the 2010 High Voltage Festival in the UK, launched their own branded beer, and also announced it would be performing with Paul Rodgers in April 2011 as the opening act on the latter's UK tour. On 21 April 2014, Down ‘n’ Outz released their second studio album, The Further Adventures Of... Critically acclaimed Classic Rock wrote: “Further Adventures raises the bar for Mott The Hoople covers while giving timeless songs a new lease of life, as classics deserving of a new audience." In addition to Joe Elliott (Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards), the band features The Quireboys' Paul Guerin (Guitar), Guy Griffin (Guitar), Keith Weir (keyboards), drummer Phil Martini (Wayward Sons) and bassist Share Ross (Vixen). “The Further Live Adventures Of….” will be released on 2CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, vinyl and digital on December 1st, via Frontiers Music Srl

Well, if there hadn't been Metallica, who would have covered this band for the Xth time, then this record would have disappeared completely. Fortunately, this didn't happen, because "Lightning to the Nations" has enough class to confirm itself, even without Metallica. The part originally came out in 1980. Great songs can be found here, e. g."The Prince", of course covered by Metallica, but the original sounds better. In this one you can even recognize some jazz elements, but the song sounds like a really stirring metal song of the 80s. Above all,"Sucking my Love" was a 9 min. song with many psychedelic dimensions, which sounds partly like Led Zeppelin at best times. "Am I Evil", was of course also covered by Metallica, as well as the awesome "Helpless", which in the original possesses a lot of power. It's Electric "was also great, because it's massive and full of energy. It's also nice that this disc had a real metal sound and therefore not as overproduced as many metal releases of today sound. The title track sounds quite like AC/DC for me, very straightforward but with a lot of power. You see, every song on this CD is more than worth hearing. And if you want to know how this band sounded (at best times) and Metallica's seemingly endless covers, then get this great CD.

The legendary debut EP of Nathan Gray's solo project THE CASTING OUT, sold out since 2007, is now available worldwide for the first time. It's 2007: US post-hardcore legends BOYSETSFIRE have just announced their dissolution in big words. As soon as the last chord of the farewell show has faded away, singer Nathan Gray begins to write songs on the acoustic guitar for his long-awaited solo album. But just before it's time to record it, the courage leaves him: He thinks he's not ready for a solo career and is looking for the sheltering haven of a band. In a very short time he gathered his sister-in-law Darby DiNatale (keyboard/vocals) and BOYSETSFIRE Roadie as well as later bass player Chris Rakus. Even his former guitarist Josh Latshaw can be persuaded to join the project, which is now called THE CASTING OUT. After the musical and content-related weight of the oversized predecessor band, THE CASTING OUT is supposed to do one thing above all else: make fun - on and in front of the stage. Gray leaves the political statements behind him for the first time since 1994 and dedicates himself completely to the everyday problems and his turbulent love life. A demo with eight songs, named after the band, is created immediately, which is burned on CD by the band and sold in handmade covers at the first local shows. Musically, it is the intersection of the song ideas originally composed by Gray, mostly acoustically, the love for emocore heroes like Samiam and the keyboard-driven pop of the late Get Up Kids. Shortly after the recordings Latshaw leaves the band for health reasons and sets the tone for the band's history. Two albums and several successful European tours later and almost weekly line-up changes, Gray will throw in the towel after three turbulent years in 2010 and put THE CASTING OUT to rest in favour of a reunion of BOYSETSFIRE. Nevertheless, the barely available and since 2007 sold-out eight songs of the demo EP enjoy cult status, and when the song "Prey" in a slightly modified version even makes it to the BOYSETSFIRE comeback album "While A Nation Sleeps" in 2013, the enthusiasm among the fans is great. Ten years after its original release, the THE CASTING OUT EP will be officially available for the first time worldwide via END HITS RECORDS on December 1,2017. On the occasion of the release, Nathan Grey remembers the birth of his band:"This EP was actually my first solo attempt. I had an almost endless catalogue of acoustic songs that I had written alone at home and an overwhelming desire to let them out into the world. At that time I thought I was going to do it all by myself, but as my ideas grew bigger and my self-confidence diminished, I began to add other pieces and parts that should be played by other musicians. And so THE CASTING OUT." The EP is released digitally, on CD and as blue vinyl with download code limited to 500 copies.

Never Seen The Light Of Day - четвертый студийный альбом "Never Seen The Light Of Day" популярной шведской рок-группы Mando Diao. Лонгплей, вышедший в 2007 году, был спродюсирован Björn Olsson и сведен звукоинженером Patrik Heikinpieti. Обложка для альбома имеет сильное сходство с обложками, используемыми Morrissey и The Smiths для многих своих релизов.
Вот что писал про альбом ROLLING STONE в 2007 году: "Вдоволь наигравшись в гаражный рок, квинтет Mando Diao несколько сменил ориентиры. К звуковой палитре четвертого диска группы (первенец шведов «Bring ‘Em In» вышел еще в 2002-м) добавились женские подпевки и богатые струнные, а численность приглашенных музыкантов достигла двадцати человек. Корректировка формата благотворно сказалась на песнях Mando Diao. Они все еще звучат небрежно, но от некоторых вещей теперь повеяло битловским мелодизмом. Впрочем, такой поворот был предсказуем — Густаф Норен и Бьорн Диксгард, собственно, и сошлись-то на почве любви к ливерпульской четверке. Какие-то нарекания вызывает только ритм-секция: она молотит как в старые гаражные годы. К счастью, в самой романтичной песне пластинки «Not A Perfect Day» барабаны отсутствуют вовсе."
В декабре, альбом будет впервые издан на виниле.

Знаменитый испанский певец и композитор Пабло Альборан выпускает свой новый студийный альбом "Prometo", релиз которого состоится 1 декабря. 13-трековый лонгплей в целом записан всё в том же лирическом стиле, что и все предыдущие альбомы Альборана, принесшие ему славу одного из самых востребованных исполнителей не только на территории Испании, но и всей латинской Америки. Однако, несколько треков альбома он сделал в более оптимистичных темпах, что сделает его альбом более разнообразным и привлечет новых поклонников к творчеству музыканта.
Первые два сингла альбома были выпущены всего несколько недель назад, это "Saturno" и " No Vaya Ser". Они оба стали одними из самых популярных латиноамериканских поп-песен в последние месяцы, определенно заложили основу для хороших продаж альбома.
