Initially released in Paris in 2006,"Tant de Temps" is the seventh and last studio album from Jacno, sadly dead three years later. Back from the grave with this double LP collection version, "Tant de temps" can be heard as glam covered by a french vampire loving cigarettes, drinks and debauchery (french habits, let's say). Two years after the reissue of "Pole" from Besombes &
Rizet, Gonzaï Records goes on with réhabilitation of french weird-but-great bands. Next step is "K-Priss" by George Grünblatt, co-founder of the cult band Heldon, author of a solo LP inspired by Philip K. Dick, recorded in 1977 then published in 1980. After that, George Grünblatt became a famous psychiatrist for the next 40 years, till Gonzaï knocked to the door. For fans of Cluster &
Eno, Bernard Szajner, Jean-Michel Jarre, Zombie Zombie and other instrumental science fiction. Recorded on 1977 at Ramses Records studios, the first and very last album from George Grüblatt sounds like an instrumental disco-prog weirdness of 38 minutes, where you can find the best rhythm section of Paris at that time (bassist Didier Batard from Space Art, Christophe and Heldon, Michel Ettori from Weidorje and Jean-Philippe Goude), both reunited around the two founding members of Heldon, Richard Pinhas and George Grünblatt. Since he began music, Grünblatt tried to conciliate his two loves, music and psychiatry, alternating lessons with Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault and Jean François Lyotard and ramshackle recording sessions, with Heldon, where he played synths and guitars from the beginning till 'Its Always Rock'n'Roll' (1975). By that time, he decided to record what still remains his only solo album, "K-Priss", from the name of a alien hallucinatory drug invented par Philip K. Dick in The Three stigmata of Palmer Eldritch (1955). Five instrumental tracks, oscillating between futurist free jazz and novo-rock. Quoting Mutant Sounds about "K-Priss"', « It' a kind of Grail. But it's not just a big experimental French record, it's also a big piece of 'French cheese', a incredible record in many ways ». Grünblatt signs with "K-Priss" one of those indescribable pieces that make all the charm of the marginal France of the seventies. After the recording, the freak will be invited into the German forest for a week to play with Klaus Schulze (Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel) but he will finally decide to devote himself entirely to his profession of psychiatrist and psychoanalyst until... Gonzaï, 40 years later, did find him to reissue this album oh so disturbed. « Grünblatt approaches the boundaries of taste and urinates all over them - but again, not in a punk way. All along "Cocktail Monotone", we are attending the psychotherapy of a crazy musician who exchanges his straitjacket for chemical drum machine. « This record is an homage to my childhood. When we had 3 and 4 year old, my brother and I were kept by a nanny whose making one of her adopted child's life miserable. She was beaten, she was dragged on piss and shit and she shouted vociferously which was absolutely abominable. This record is quite about that: animals, confinement and the misery of this girl."Far from just being a 8-bits freudian catharsis, "Cocktail Monotone" is also an invitation to enter the crazy brain of a schizophrenic musician. From a robotic talk-over of a dada-feminist (La Femme) to some long instrumental tracks to breath (Abécédaire) and a hymn to all children of divorced parents (La famille idéale), this second LP is obviously the one of immaturity. "The album's title? It came from a word game made by my child when he was 3, while he was barely able to speak;

With the release of the movie "Saturday Night Fever" and the soundtrack album of the same name featuring the Bee Gees in 1978, Discomania was sweeping across the nation. And in the Midwest, nearly every nightclub, bar, and bowling alley changed musical formats, quit using live entertainment, and spent millions of dollars remodeling every beer hall, hotel lounge, and VFW in the Twin Cities into a "Disco", all attempting to cash in on a fad that would ultimately only last not even two years. For the next couple of years, Gangbusters brought disco music to the masses. Their original all disco show "Sunday Morning Fever (Where Did the Disco)" featured a tribute to Donna Summer, a medley of the greatest hits from the Bee Gees including their early music from the sixties, the best (and worst) of the Village People, and a "Dance Fever" style disco dance competition. Gangbusters survived and thrived during the disco years by playing disco music better than any other band in town. Mnestic Pressure" is Lee Gamble's first album since 2014 and his first with Hyperdub, a reset that sees a noticeable change in his sound and the concepts that feed into his music. Lee says "from "Diversions 1994-1996" (2012) through to "Koch" (2014) - my music felt like I was dealing with signals from elsewhere - signals from the unconscious, sub-aqua, hallucinated, dreamt. "Mnestic Pressure" feels like their decoded offspring, a terra interpretation." The title "Mnestic Pressure" comes from Lee's thinking about how our contemporary memory is pressured, individually, but also collectively. "We live in these strobing, visual times, like a constant subliminal advertisement but, also over the last few years the world seems to have become more and more dreamlike, alien, and parodic itself and there was this part of me that wanted to drag my music back from this Shangri-La, but fully drenched and infected by its ghosts." "Mnestic Pressure" as a whole is a simulation of this experience;
a flow of targeted information, through contrasting and quickly changing terrain, from one track to another you're dragged into a new space. The pressure to move is intrinsic to the flow of the album, one thing morphologically transforms into another, zooming in and out from wide angle to detail, reshaping into new forms at a speed Lee's music hasn't before. The music on "Mnestic Pressure" has a hardness, with a structure and melody that was sublimated in Lee's previous LPs. It builds on his more recent experiments with more functional dancefloor forms. Their take on the blooze is as a dirty, sensual thing, enhanced with a healthy dose of humor. Now some two decades and seven albums into their career - with eighth Jake Leg Boogie, set to drop in Summer 2017 on Small Stone - Five Horse Johnson have dug out a niche of their own, a genuine love and respect for traditional blues and classic rock leading them to likewise become one of the most loved and respected bands in the heavy rock underground. Always a freight train live, they've toured the US (with Clutch and Halfway to Gone) and Europe extensively (including the festival circuit), gathering fans, friends, and drinking partners all over the Western World. Jake Leg Boogie sees FHJ going back to its recording roots. Original drummer Tim Gahagan has rejoined, and the results are powerful. Brad Coffin's guitar has never sounded heavier, his voice never stronger. Eric Oblander's harp, meanwhile, is as sharp as a tailfin, and his gravelly vocal delivery a growling, howlin' counterpoint to Coffin's gruff style. Steve Smith's bass is a strong backbone, while Phil Dürr's guitar complements that of Coffin, adding extra edge for good measure. From the slow, bluesy stomp of the title-track, to the dirge vibe of "Daddy Was a Gun" - a story of some weird goings-on in a strange parish - Jake Leg Boogie is pure old school FHJ, recorded live, everyone in the same room, with as little overdubbing as possible. Accordingly, it feels lively and loud in the MC5-come-Hendrix vibe of "Hard Times," the hard-rocking "Magic Man" (a tale of depravity set in the town of Springfield, MO), and the near-Texan boogie of "Smoke Show." Jake Leg Boogie was recorded at Rustbelt Studios, with longtime producer Al Sutton (Big Chief, Novadriver, Halfway to Gone, Detroit Cobras) at the production helm, with a definitive nod to Dave Cobb (All Them Witches, Rival Sons). Artwork provided by noted graphic artist and FHJ-collaborator Mark Dancey, keeping with a tradition established on 1999's Fat Black Pussycat. Five Horse Johnson is not a band that makes apologies, and compromise is not an option. Their third album following the acclaimed Will Ever Pray (2011) and Blind Mouths Eat (2013). On this occasion they have discarded Mark Kluzek's vocals in favour of two twenty minute instrumentals that continue Kluzek's obsessive and singular foray into early colonial history while being a significant departure in terms of approach. The underlying themes for each track are contrasting yet tie together via their historical context;
a period where indigenous Australian belief systems and day-to-day lives were irrevocably assaulted. The song Burrowed into the Soft Sky is based on a passage from Patrick White's novel Voss. The book is very loosely based on the final journey through the northern regions of Australia by explorer Ludwig Leichardt. Kluzek took a passage from the book where a comet passes over and Voss, his team and a tribe of Australian Aboriginals engage with and interpret the experience until it is 'burrowed into the soft sky'. The Blood Dimmed Tide is Loosed takes a significantly darker turn shining a light on a pattern of atrocity that took place in the north east of Australia at a time where a dynamic of back and forth, invariably initiated by colonists, took place and culminating in a "dispersal" of a tribe.

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL FIRST PRESSING OF 1000 INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED COPIES ON PINK VINYL Demon Fuzz was an afro-rock group of which its members had all immigrated to Britain from Commonwealth countries. The band's name means "devil's children or bad policemen". They originally played soul, but the music they heard during a trip to Morocco lead to a change in their style to what has been described as a blend of funk, rock, jazz and African music. Released in 1970 the band's only album, the extraordinary Afreaka!, demonstrates their excellence in playing psychedelic soul, dub-heavy funk, progressive rock, Afro-jazz and black acid rock. Demon Fuzz these days are amongst the most bootlegged and sampled bands from the early 70s British underground. This re-release, which includes the stunning and rare EP that at the time was released along with the album, tells the band's full story for the first time ever. All tracks were credited to Ray Rhoden and W. Raphael Joseph, except for the second track, which was credited to W. Mitchel and Paddy Corea. Corea was also credited with "all arrangements". It was a Billboard "4-STAR" selection in June 1971
