All Change is an album made on a shoestring that sounds like a big budget classic: a reflection of Williams’ life-long love affair with 1970s American rock showcasing a new refinement to his songwriting, and a more commercial edge – “a celebration of the big chord change and the emotional sucker-punch line,” as he puts it. Think Asbury Park by way of Hastings – an unexpected trump card from someone who’d put rock and roll dreams to rest. All Change is a feast of rock and folk songs drenched in strings, Hammond organ and rich 70s harmonies. It was mixed in by Ian Grimble (The Fall, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Mumford &

Download Code. The sophomore album by the intriguing indie-rock band 'Vita Bergen', one of Sweden's undergound succes stories. Mix of The War On Drugs and Madonna. Since the debut album, Disconnection, was released in 2015, and with the P3 Guld award nomination for Best Pop, international record contract the band has managed to play over 100 shows and sold-out tours. The 2nd of June Vita Bergen will release their second album Retriever. Completed in Los Angeles and produced by their front man William Hellström together with Martin Forslund, who also has worked with Swedish legend Håkan Hellström. April 14 is the release of the first single, Nixon, a song where The War on Drugs meets Madonna. Vita Bergen is comprised of six childhood friends from Gothenburg who started to play together in 2013. Front man William Hellström is studying medicine and leaves the mundane of textbooks to alternative reality of a trance while performing on stage. The resulting success has been a consequence and effect of the stage related concussions, and nails piecing his foot. ”It doesn’t matter if we play for four, or four thousand people, we will always play every show like it is the last thing we do. Shouldn’t music affect you? I will never be satisfied. That day we will break up. We are here because we need to be here!” Following the release of the debut album in the fall of 2015 there was extensive touring in Scandinavia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and Kosovo, which gave Vita Bergen a solid place on the European indie scene. In four years the band has taken themselves from a claustrophobic 8 person bus and illegal nightclubs to over 100 shows all around Europe. In contrast to the apartment where the first record was recorded, Retriever sessions was held in diverse and exclusive studios. Hostels with cigarette buds under the bed, have been exchanged for expensive hotel rooms, skyscrapers, offices in LA and overwhelming responses at sold out shows. All these influences have shaped the sound of the new album. The songs were written in collaboration by the best friend duo of Robert Jallinder and Willliam who at same time dropped out of university to form the band. “The theme of this record are much different from the first album This album in much more direct and touches on concrete subjects that are happening here and now, like you and me, relationships that are really important, when all the make-up has run off. At the same time the whole process after Disconnection we felt like we wanted to get it all back with this release. We wanted to sound less pissed off. We are really happy right now and we want to do pop music” says William Hellström. The rest of the band members include Hampus Bergh, Gustaf Gunér, Jakob Kullberg och Andreas Jallinder.

The swirling soundtrack to Prevenge cranks up the tension in the film, which evokes the hypnotic Goblin synth scores from Dario Argento’s vintage-era chillers and adds a touch of unearthly, sci-fi magic. The icy, stabbing synths of Toydrum’s excellent score aptly reflect the deliberately unpolished nature of the film.

The east German Thrash Metal band TormentoR was formed in the year 2006 by Max Seipke in the age of 12 years. Together with producer Evil (Antimensch) they recorded the first demo „Lesson in Aggression“ in 2007, which was released in the following year. Shortly after the release of it, Thomas Wedemeyer became the new drummer of the band. With the demo and some new songs they took over the road as a two-pieced band for the next two years. The demo mostly got good feedback by fanzines as Metal Guardian or Headbangers Zine from the Netherlands. But the biggest compliment came from the Kreator mastermind Mille Petrozza himself, as he praised the band in a radio station interview! In the year 2010 the band went into the studio, once again with producer Evil, to record their debut album “Violent World”. After the recording was done, Christian Schomber on bass and Kevin Hauch on the rhythm guitar became new members of the band. “Violent World” was released in 2012 via Iron Shield Records. The album mostly got good feedback from Rock Hard, Metal Hammer, Heavy and many more! Following the release they toured through Saxony, Brandenburg and Poland and established their name in the underground scene. 2013 and 2014 there mostly used for writing new songs, which was recorded end of 2016. The result will be released as CD/ LP and Download/ Streaming again via Iron Shield Records

Paradise Blue Vinyl! Austin-based musician Abram Shook is a remarkable wellspring of ideas when it comes to songwriting. When he sat down to write his third album, he produced two distinct batches of songs, one very personal collection titled Love at Low Speed, and a darker, more detached collection titled Love in the Age of Excess. Due to time and money constraints, he opted to only record the more personal album, which explores themes of love, loss, and connecting with others, all themes he's been careful to avoid on previous albums. As he explains, "I avoided the subject of love in the past because I thought it was a cliched, overwrought topic. What else could I really add to the cannon? Writing the album directly coincided with some pretty big changes in my life, mainly the ending of an 11 year relationship." Love at Low Speed proves that Shook has plenty to offer on these topics, and that he's at his best when he digs deep, mining his years of experience for confessional tales peppe red with hard-wrought wisdom. The production on the new album is fittingly more intimate and organic than what we heard on his previous albums Sun Marque (2014) and Landscape Dream (2015). Inspired by the unique worlds of sound David Bowie created throughout his career, Shook and close collaborators Christopher Cox and Grant Johnson kept the album's production focussed from beginning to end. "With Love At Low Speed I wanted to use a more consistent pallet of sound to tie things together better than I had on my previous records. A touchstone album for me has always been Club Da Esquinha (Milton Nascimento/Lo Borges). It explores multiple genres but filters everything through the same beautiful production arrangements which lends to its cohesion. I think in the back of my mind I'm always striving to achieve something close to that album's rare blend of unique songwriting and challenging production choices without sacrificing a certain pop sensibility that invites new listen ers." Their efforts paid off, and throughout Love at Low Speed the world of sound they created balances Shook's tender tenor with sensual bass grooves, and strings provided by Austin's Tosca String Quartet. Mixed by Noah Georgeson (known for his work with Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Andy Shauf, et al) the album has a clarity and warmth that focuses your ear on Shook's emotional delivery. Shook grew up in California where he spent his days surfing, studying jazz, and absorbing the rich radiant music of Brazil and West Africa, before moving to Portland, and then Boston, before finally settling in Austin, TX over 10 years ago. "Settling down in Austin for a longer period of time has allowed me to establish a rich community of peers to draw from for influence and support. With time comes trust, and I've learned to give over some control to others in hopes to gain a perspective on songwriting that I might normally overlook." In addition to becoming an important part of Au stin's creative community, being landlocked for a decade, has helped Shook develop an affirming perspective on his past, which helps him quell his anxiety, and focus on his creative pursuits. "I write about a California that no longer exists in the nostalgic form that I hold in my memory, just as the people that have journeyed in and out of my life are no longer the same either, nor am I the same to them. If everything is malleable at all times that means I am too, and that's a notion I can take comfort in.
