The Dead's fifth album, released June 14, 1970. It was the first album they released that year, with [m=18442] released later that November. The album was a return to the folk, blues, and old-time music of the jug bands that were the traditional roots of the Grateful Dead, but the songs were all Garcia/Hunter compositions. The rear cover was upside down on the original release of the album. The album was recorded at [l947069] Studio, San Francisco and engineered by [a310431].

With vocals soaked in blues and soul, Glenn Hughes has fronted many legendary rock acts, including Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Hughes-Thrall, Trapeze and Black Country Communion.

New contributors to this incarnation of The Explorers Club include Shane Tutmarc (Dolour, Sean Nelson) and Austin, TX based songwriter, Will Courtney. Songwriting partnership with Emeen Zarookian, Mike Williamson and vocal contributions from former Explorers Club member Wally Reddington return Brewer, Tutmarc, and Goldman recorded most of the album in Nashville, at Columbia's legendary Studio A. Additional work was done at Gem City Studios on the Tennessee/Kentucky border.

A few years ago a new band appeared on the Austrian music scene. But as we know the road for so called Retro Rock acts in today's music scene tends to be long and dusty and therefore, during the past two years THE WEIGHT have had to prove their will and stamina: constant touring, countless interviews and many live and studio sessions formed a band that appears to finally be ready for the next bold step that will define their musical career. Consequently, the new THE WEIGHT record IN CONTROL sounds even more particular than its predecessor. The four musicians wrote music that no longer seems to be regardlessly classifiable. Songs like A Little Bit of Music still breathe the same air as Hard Way from the first album, but one can sense the now completed absence of compromise and dither. Deeply rooted in the light art tradition of his hometown, the doctor is now presenting his first feature film "In the Sign of the Twin". The mysterious events in a Victorian dream world beyond metaphysics are so impressively and skilfully implemented that it is surprising that this is not just a first work, but also a production without a budget. Even more, from screenplay, camera, editing to directing, the doctor is responsible, who plays all roles himself, composed the soundtrack and has to speak of an artistic genius! Surprisingly, the doctor refers to the expressionist silent film by Robert Wiene or Fritz Lang with significant influences by the film artist Karel Zeman and thus creates a completely new form of expression and film language of modern psychedelic cinema in 2019. The film impresses both with real film sequences and through Collage animations. It is entirely in sepia and particularly visualizes the atmosphere of the late 19th century. The atmospheric density and narrative power of "In the Sign of the Twin" swallow the viewer completely and enable them to immerse themselves in the wonder world of the subconscious.
