It seems that the Ninth is a limit. He who wants to go beyond it must pass away. [...] Those who have written a Ninth stood too close to the hereafter.' Arnold Schoenberg wrote those words in reference to Gustav Mahler, who had just died without ever having heard his own Ninth Symphony performed. Bruckner was apparently afraid of the fatal number as well: 'I don’t want to start on my Ninth at all, I don’t dare'. However, very soon after the completion of his Eighth Symphony in September 1887, Bruckner started on his first drafts. Overall, work on the Ninth then dragged on over the long period from 1887 to 1896, having to be constantly interrupted because of the composer’s deteriorating health. Bruckner finally died while working on the fourth movement – and his masterpiece dedicated to 'the beloved God' remained unfinished. Even without a finale, the three-movement torso that survives is, of course, extremely impressive.

The project provides for the creation of a complete registration of the work 'L'Estro Poetico-armonico', music by Benedetto Marcello, texts by Gerolamo Ascanio Giustiniani. The project started in 2013 within the Madesimo Music Festival, on the initiative and support of Mario Marcarini and under the artistic direction of Lydia Cevidalli, director of the Ensemble Salomone Rossi. The record project proposes a comparison of manuscripts and editions to know the steps that led to these transcriptions and a comparison of data to identify the methods of frequentation of Marcello with members of the Jewish community. The record released in autumn 2018 contains the recording of 3 psalms, including Psalm 15 with the presence of a Jewish melody, and some chamber music.

Тем временем, "Bomb, A Love Story" - первое новое кинематографическое сотрудничество Элени после смерти режиссера Теодороса Ангелопулоса - только что было номинировано на премию APSA за лучшую оригинальную музыку.

Обе работы содержат композиции для струнного оркестра и состава талантливых солистов выбранных лично Караиндру. В тридцатилетней традиции, восходящей к записи музыки для фильмов 1990 года, светлые темы и аранжировки Караиндру приобретают новые очертания и преемственность благодаря сведению и продюсированию Манфреда Эйхера.
