Two Gallants release their fourth LP The Bloom and the Blight. Produced by John Congleton (The Walkmen, Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent) the album is their first since 2007’s self-titled release and comes after a three-year hiatus. Friends since they were five, Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel grew up playing music together, from early teen-age house parties in their hometown of San Francisco, to multiple world tours. The Bloom and the Blight is the work of a band that has matured and redefined itself, and the album is imbued with a palpable sense of personal catharsis. It moves away from Two Gallants’ more folk and blues-based past, representing the duo’s ferocious live show and their past steeped in punk and grunge. The songs have a dark side and a dynamic sonic heft, yet a sense of salvation and resolve courses throughout: an urgent, emotional poignancy stemming in part from Stephens’ recovery from a serious van accident in 2010. The Mignon story goes back to 2001 when she toured alongside Peaches as a performer and vocalist. Discovering a similar taste in music and a desire to shock audiences, they began to co-wrote and perform tracks together, playing at UK festivals Leeds and Reading as well as Australia's Big Day Out. In 2003 Mignon kicked off her solo career with performances across the UK, USA and Europe. Her punk demeanour and appetite for hair-raising rock'n' roll has seen her having practically toured the world, sharing the stage with the likes of Peaches, Trail of Dead.., Queens of The Stone Age and Chicksonspeed. These live performances became best known for erupting with a combination of face-paint and smoke-bombs, bloodied nurses and military ensembles, fake knives and fiery leather pants. Mignon self-produced her debut album 'Bad Evil Wicked and Mean' in Berlin and invited guests such as Lady Miss Kier(Deelite), Peaches, Thomas Wydler(Bad Seeds), Quan Yeomans(Regurgitator), Gonzales and Taylor Savvy to contribute. The album was released in in 2007. Now in 2012 Mignon returns to unleash her second album iss Of Death' which will be backed by performances with her newly assembled band across the world during back half of 2011 and into 2012.
