Space music of an outstanding and extraordinary kind: just as you would expect when two mannequins leave their boutique in Karlsruhe/Germany in their mind’s eye to go and see places where they haven’t been before. “Im Weltenraum”, how they call their new album, is Fred und Luna’s next step in their ever-changing series of “Elektrokraut/Krautelektro” music. A charming and fascinating voyage through an endless universe of phantasmagorial soundscapes, repetitive rhythms, catchy melodies and even a side trip to Acid House Land. After their “Glück auf” on Optimo Music, where they started with a journey through motorik Krautland, followed by a trip to a both atmospheric and boppy soundgarden on their album “Im Klanggarten” (Bigamo), an intoxicating journey into deep blue areas on “Im Tiefenrausch” (Compost Records) and tribal dancefloor spots on “Im Tanzrausch” (Compost), “Fred und Luna” are now on the traces of spaces, unknown worlds and unknown time zones, accompanied by Patrick Pulsinger, both a mixmaster and a master of mastering. Who are Fred und Luna? "Fred und Luna" are two mannequins living in a fashion boutique in Karlsruhe, Germany. They serve as muse for musician, lector, poet and photo/video maker Rainer Buchmüller. Inspired by his doll friends and his love for German electronic music of the past decades, Rainer Buchmüller under the alias “Fred und Luna” produces his self-created genres Elektrokraut and Krautelektro: both a modern combination of repetitive rhythms, beautiful melodies, electronic soundscapes and elements from the Krautrock era. Under the name of “Ariston Baton” Rainer Buchmüller also writes and performs sound poems and concrete poetry. On live events and especially on exhibitions Ariston Baton is joining “Fred und Luna” and Rainer Buchmüller’s third identity “Vizudaru Nono”, who is contributing video and photo projections. Together they form the so called “Equipe Nadaphysique”. The next exhibition featuring all three named personalities will take place end of October 2018 at Rockomotives Festival, Vendôme/France. A brief history of Fred und Luna Having previously released the EP “Glück auf” on the Scottish label Optimo Music and being remixed by Prins Thomas for the Berlin label Innervisions, the year 2017 saw Fred und Luna feature their debut album “Im Klanggarten” on Frank Wiedemann’s (Âme, Howling) newly-founded label Bigamo Musik. After the first editions of both the EP and LP being sold out quickly, live shows in Germany, France and England followed as well as remixes for Peter Pardeike (Connaisseur Recordings) and a common release with Trikk on Innervisions, among others. A team-up with Achim Treu (UFO Hawaii) resulted in several remixes for international musicians. On tour with Fred und Luna (The Luna principle) On live shows, Fred und Luna are represented by Rainer Buchmüller as FRED and a LUNA spontaneously chosen from local musicians, friends or someone from the audience, making every show a surprise and a unique performance. Previous Lunas include keyboard players, drummers, DJs, guitarists, rappers, poets, saxophonists, trumpeters, violinists, complete bands, a musical saw player, an opera singer and many more. After half a decade of wait, Berlin-based producer Douglas Greed makes his long-awaited return with 'Angst' - the 10-track followup to his 2014-on BPitch Control released album, 'Driven'. Fruit of a transitional period that's seen him go through all kinds of creative ups and downs, 'Angst' refers to the inherent ambivalence attached to the sentiment of fear. In Douglas' case, fear - though crippling at times - is also what makes him tick; the catalystic force that pushes him to outdo and reinvent himself so constantly. Born out of the hope to find that crucial innocence of his younger music-loving self again, 'Angst' finds Douglas brushing a ten-part tableau of warmly atmospheric, quietly nostalgic pieces, in the tradition of his previous releases for BPitch, Freude Am Tanzen, 3000 Grad et al - whether solo or under his parallel project YEAH BUT NO alongside Fabian Kuss and EATING SNOW with Mooryc. Infused with the refined pop sensibility that's become trademark to his sound, the album reels out a soul-fulfilling narrative that very much feels like a second wind; deftly swinging the pendulum betwixt sun-streaked melodies, transporting emotional crescendos and intricately woven textural membranes to lose yourself into. Starting off with the sense-awakening and supremely resilient electro-pop of 'Roll with the Punches', featuring Joy Wellboy on vocals, whose upcoming LP was co-produced by Douglas, the album alternates dynamic highlights - from the jazz & trip-hop-indebted 'The Taste of Dust' to the Border Community-esque trancey charm of 'Everybody Wants to Live in a Mansion' - and wistfully enticing cuts like 'The Few', 'Numbers‘ (both Songs with vocals by Odd Beholder) or the polyphonic chimes & brass-laden roller 'Random Groove'. As its title suggests, 'Angst' also cuts a wide window open into Douglas' bruises and introspective leaning, shining with maximal depth on the thoroughly intimate coming-out of 'Wie Man Unsterbliche Tiere Züchtet' and 'Fight For You', where day-to-day anxieties give birth to larger-than-life narrative arcs and corollas. The ironically airwaves-ready closer 'Not Afraid‘ with Joy Wellboy makes for the vanishing point of Douglas' full-length journey, but no ending to it by any means. It's a gift that keeps on giving.

Debuted on her NTS guest show, Loraine James explains more about her intentions for where this remix sits: “I felt honoured to be contacted to do this remix because I remember listening to Darkstar back when I was sixteen. With remixes I like to create an atmosphere that’s the opposite of the original song, so here I’ve taken Darkstar’s downtempo track and made it into a proper dance tune. I played it out a few times in sets before lockdown and it got the crowd going.

Альбом дебютировал на втором месте в чарте UK Albums Chart, продав за первую неделю 52 976 копий, и был признан платиновым по версии UK Phonographic Industry. По всему миру Supernature разошелся тиражом в один миллион экземпляров.
Лид-сингл альбома, "Ooh La La", достиг четвертого места в UK Singles Chart и стал самым рейтинговым синглом дуэта на сегодняшний день. Альбом породил еще три сингла: "Number 1", "Ride a White Horse" и "Fly Me Away". В Северной Америке, где "Number 1" продвигался в качестве первого сингла, альбом был выпущен 7 марта 2006 года и достиг 138 места в чартах. Supernature был номинирован на премию "Грэмми" за лучший электронный/танцевальный альбом в 2007 году.
