Superb Bowie Performance From The Earthling Tour David Bowie s 20th studio album was originally released in February 1997 on Arista Records. Earthling showcased an electronica-influenced sound partly inspired by the industrial and drum and bass culture of the 1990s. It was the first album Bowie self-produced since 1974 s Diamond Dogs. The Earthling Tour started on 7 June 1997 at Flughafen Blankensee in Lübeck, Germany, continuing through Europe and North America before reaching a conclusion in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 7 November 1997. On August 14, 97, Bowie performed at Hungary s Student Island Festival in Budapest, where he put on a quite extraordinary show, accompanied as he was by Reeves Gabrels on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, Zack Alford on drums and Mike Garson on keyboards. Playing just a few tracks from the new record plus a fine selection of back catalogue gems, the entire show was broadcast, both across Eastern Europe and indeed in the US too on selected FM stations.

BEE GEES TELEVISION BROADCAST FROM THE MID-1970s As disco gained popularity in the US from the mid-1970 s onwards, with artist such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Heatwave and Rose Royce achieving sizeable hits, the Gibb brothers decided to move to Miami, and from there hone their extraordinary craft in that direction. In 1975, The Bee Gees released Main Course, which included their second US No1, the infectious Jive Talking , as well as ever popular Nights on Broadway . Rolling Stone called it the best sounding Bee Gees album ever at the time, and it indeed opened the door for the siblings to be accepted into the genre, despite being three white boys from Manchester. Following the release of the record, the group began a five month tour across the USA and Canada, during which, on the last date of the US leg, they played the PBS TV show Soundstage , recorded in Chicago, IL on 11th July 75. Performing a set brimming with hits old and new, interspersed with band interviews, chat and a remarkable spot when the trio re-visits the songs they had performed in the late 1950s as youngsters in The Rattlesnakes, the show was an enormous success. This CD features the entirety of this performance alongside eight bonus cuts recorded in Melbourne the year before.

For 20 years now, Kristofer Åström has embodied the unbroken popular Nordic songwriting from Sweden like no other. With his tenth album, the Swede returns to Northern Blues and once again presents his Scandinavian-melancholic version of the Americana genre. Right from the start, Hard Times tunes into a melancholic mood, which is carried throughout the entire length of the album without sacrificing dynamics. Åström masters the quiet as well as the loud sounds. Sometimes both in one song, see or listen to And Then She Moved On. And the Swede likes the repitative evocation, as he proves with the psychedelically rocking conclusion on Night Owl. Åström becomes touching in a different way on the songs on the bonus vinyl, which is included with the album in a limited 500 copies (and will be released digitally only later). Michelle, that is his wife's name. He played the song for her wedding ceremony and sounds accordingly hopeful and full of love. The album was recorded in the legendary Silence Studio in the Swedish Niemannsland, the forests of Värmland.

Reb Beach is simply one of the Hard Rock Guitar Giants of the current era. Influenced by the monster rockers of the 70's, Reb spent his teen years jamming along with recordings of Aerosmith, Sammy Hagar and Ronnie Montrose. But it was Steve Morse, then with the Dixie Dregs, that had the biggest influence on the young Reb. The complexity and the speed of the Dregs was a challenge compared to the blues-based playing of most musicians of that era. Reb not only loved the Dregs - they were a catalyst that drove his playing into the greatness now so well known to music fans the world over. He improved his skills at the Berkeley School of Music but after a couple of semesters he moved on and soon became one of the most sought-after session players in the music industry; working with such all-time great talents as Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Roger Daltrey, Chaka Kahn, Howard Jones, and Twisted Sister. While living in NYC he hooked up with his future band mate - bassist and frontman Kip Winger. Reb and Kip formed the band Winger and the rest is history. The two proved to be great writing partners, producing platinum records that featured no less than six top-forty singles with music that was commercial yet complex. Guitar for the Practicing Musician voted him "Best New Guitarist." Guitar World Magazine voted him "Best New Talent" and asked him to write a column. He also designed a line of guitars for Ibanez and toured, teaching guitar clinics. He also produced an instructional video entitled "Cutting Loose" that sold very successfully. After Winger went on a hiatus in the 90’s his career continued in the spotlight thanks to collaborations with Alice Cooper, Dokken and Night Ranger and debuted as a solo artist in 2002 with the album “Masquerade". Following the Winger reunion, Reb finally got the gig with a guy he'd been sending tapes to for many years - David Coverdale. The band? Whitesnake. Since 2003, Reb has toured the world with Whitesnake releasing with them masterpiece albums such as “Good to Be Bad,” “Forevermore,” “The Purple Album,” and the recent “Flesh & Blood” plus a number of live albums. Reb now releases his first instrumental album but be aware this is not a mere exercise of self indulgence but the culmination of over 30 years of study and work on the guitar. Fans of Morse and Satriani will find a lot to like in the 11 songs on offer here and while there is certainly a lot for the musicians, you will find so many melodies and moments where the songs take over regardless of the lack of vocals. Helping Reb on the album there is his Whitesnake bandmate Michele Luppi on piano among others.

Sweet harmonies reminiscent of the Mamas & The Papas are layered with electric guitars and flutes into a witch's brew. A witch brew that also can be compared to other mighty bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Coven and Blue Öyster Cult. The interest of Lykantopi has continued and grown since their debut album in 2017. Lykantropi is now known as one of the most exciting band in Sweden of their genre for many years, which has been confirmed by media such as Aftonbladet (Biggest newspaper in Sweden), Sweden Rock Magazine, Power Play (9 of 10, UK), Eclipsed (DE) and Norway Rock Magazine to name a few. For 2020, Lykantropi is back to release another vintage rock diamond, their third album 'Tales to be Told' including the strong singles 'Coming Your Way', 'Kom ta mig ut' and Axis of Margaret. The first single went straight into New Music Friday on Spotify and the single was premiered by V13 (UK) (watch here and Classic Rock/Louder (UK) did include them in their 'Tracks of the Week'. (watch here) Beyond that, the single was shared by medias all over the world. 2020 started strong on the live-side with several festivals booked in Sweden and was booked as support band for the well-known rockband Graveyard's tour in Sweden, which all has been postpones to 2021 due Covid-19. In July, the band release a new music video for the first single 'Coming Your Way' with premier partners such as Sweden Rock Magazine and Eclipsed, which will be followed by another music video for the next single 'Kom ta mig ut'. (Release in September) This spring, the band released a live session recorded in the forests of Värmland and livestreamed for Gaffa (biggest music magazine in Sweden) Now the band's booking agent are booking gigs for the coming year and we all keep our fingers crossed that we'll fight the pandemic so that the world's live scenes open up again!

ONE OF THE FINEST BANDS FROM SF IN THE 70'S / FIRST TIME ON CD. ONE BONUS TRACK. FULLY REMASTERED - The Hoodoo Rhythm Devils rode the post-hippie wave emanating from San Francisco at the dawn of the '70s. Fusing blues boogie with country-rock rave-ups, full-throated rock & roll and a hint of soul, they didn't quite sound like any other band in the Bay Area in the early '70s. In a 1972 Rolling Stone rave of their second album, The Barbecue of Deville, Nick Tosches compared the group to Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen and Asleep at the Wheel, which points to how the band was closer to the American equivalent of British pub rock than an extension of Steve Miller's spacy blues. Maybe that's why they were nothing more than a cult act, releasing five records before splitting in 1978. The Hoodoo Rhythm Devils formed in 1970 when guitar teacher John Rewind teamed with Joe Crane -- a bassist who played with Johnny and Edgar Winter back in his home state of Texas -- on the advice of one of his students. Rewind recruited drummer Glenn Walters -- the two had played in a St. Louis band called the Zoo in the '60s -- and added bassist Richard Greene, who played with Roberta Flack, among others, in Washington, D.C. Initially calling themselves Joe Crane & His Hoodoo Rhythm Devils, the band truncated their appellation to the Hoodoo Rhythm Devils by the time their debut, Rack Jobbers Rule, came out on Capitol in 1971. The band added second drummer Roger Clark -- formerly of the Steve Miller Band -- for 1972's The Barbecue of DeVille, which was released on Blue Thumb. During that year, the band toured extensively but it didn't help break them to a wider audience. Clark left after the tour and Keith Knudsen (The Doobie Brothers) played some gigs with them before they hired Jerome Kimsey to drum on 1973's What the Kids Want. Although the Hoodoo Rhythm Devils were gaining some recognition from their peers in the form of covers of Crane's songs -- Commander Cody and Johnny Winter recorded his tunes, as did Patti LaBelle and the Chambers Brothers -- the band itself was stalled.
