Falcon Jane's second album Faith started coming together at the beginning of 2019 when Sara May, the artist behind the band, experienced a string of deaths in her family. Attending a seemingly endless number of traditional Catholic funerals within the space of a year caused May to dive inwards, reassessing her own notions of memory, grief, love, ceremony and identity. "Music is how I process vulnerable emotions like sadness and grief," she says, "and for me these funerals were traumatic in a way." Faith is a way of excavating her truth through clear-eyed self-examination. "This album is just as much about trying to figure out what kind of person I am as it is about death," she says. "Where do my beliefs lie? Am I a good person? There needed to be a big collapse in order to grow. A total exhale so that I could breathe in new life, new faith." This new faith is presented in "Heaven", a track that culminates these internal struggles with an idyllic, peaceful state. "That's where I'm trying to get to," May adds. "The rest of the songs are doing the hard work to try to get there."

'Cropping the Aftermath' is the second release by epic45 in 2020; the 'We Were Never Here' photobook project came out in May. It was an instrumental release featuring large scale photography taken during 2018-2019, of 'nowhere places' eerily devoid of human life. The current line-up consists of founder members Ben Holton and Rob Glover, with James Yates, a long term collaborator whose role within the band has grown organically over time. epic45 will be rescheduling all cancelled UK and Japanese live dates when appropriate.

The Copenhagen duo DEAP will release their debut album on the platforms Anyines and Polychrome. With the album Musik i en tid (Music for a While) the couple have created a container for a series of vocal observations, notes on art, sound and lived life over time. Musik i en tid is the offspring of a symbiotic relationship, written and recorded on the coasts and in forests, churches, living rooms and barns of Scandinavia. The textures and traditions of these spaces are audible in the sound and feel of Musik i en tid, where field recordings and snippets of everyday situations in a shared life are also present. Elements that are often considered as distractions for serious music production such as washing dishes or kids playing and screaming, have been embraced and sometimes used as foundational for compositional processes. The list of contributors is long, full of children, siblings, beloved friends, fellow artists and a Swedish choir that all have crossed paths with Pernille and Aske during the past two years, making the result more of a collective piece, where circumstances have formed the outcome, rather than it being pre-arranged and produced. The release is the first in a series of a collaborations between Anyines and Polychrome; a new platform and physical space in Copenhagen for exhibitions, concerts and conversations. As the first attempt, Cidesphere released its initial works as "Dying in Confusion" in a split album with "Suicide" which is one of the most known bands of local scene in 2000. In January 2003, the band released its debut album "Interment" via Hammer Music. The album made a huge impact and is still accepted as the unique sample of its kind among Turkish metal music history. Cidesphere participated in more than 100 shows and venues, festivals and open airs. In 2004 band split up and re-united in December 2018 and Cidesphere immediately began playing shows and festivals and writing new material for a new album. After a hardworking period, Cidesphere completed the song-writing process for the second album in 2019. The recording of drums and vocals for the new album was done in "Midas?n Kulakl??? Studio" by "Erkan Tatoglu" in December 2019. The mixing and mastering was done in "Sound Damage Studio" by "Unsal Ozata" in May 2020. After the completion of Cidesphere's second album entitled "Dawn of a New Epoch", the band signed to "Testimony Records". The artwork of "Dawn of a New Epoch" is designed by "Delic Saike". Currently Cidesphere is concentrated on writing new materials and looking forward to participate in new shows and festivals all around the world.The band members are Oral Akyol (Vocals), Taylan Firat (Guitars),Aydin Aytac (Guitar/Bass), Basar Cetin (Guitar/Bass), Goremaster (Drums). Dutch doom legends-turned-stoner rock riff-makers Celestial Season have reformed, and are on the eve of releasing the official follow-up to 1995 gem Solar Lovers via Burning World Records. Indeed, new album, The Secret Teachings, finds the Nijmegen-based septet reuniting with members from the "doom era," meaning debut album Forever Scarlet Passion and Solar Lovers, without guitarist Robert Ruiters and violinist Maaike Aarts. But what Celestial Season fans get is an updated lineup-Olly Smits moves over from bass to guitar and Elianne Anemaat joins on cello-but with Stefan Ruiters (vocals), Jason Köhnen (drums), Lucas van Slegtenhorst (bass), and Pim van Zanen (guitars) leading the front end. Remastered from original 1993 studio tapes by James Plotkin in 2020 - New artwork by Jason Kohnen in 2020 - Part of the CELESTIAL SEASON Doom Era box set that also includes the re-issue of Solar Lovers and new album The Secret Teachings. With Forever Scarlet Passion, we see a string-heavy Celestial Season expounding on the bombastic murk of My Dying Bride. Whereas the UK five-piece more or less roped their atmospheric mantras off to certain songs and only those songs, CS wisely disintegrate tracks' borders and stretch the instrument across just about the entire album. For that, we get a less boxy, song-by-song feel and more of a prolonged, harmonious saga of crushing woe that would be more washed out and incomplete if not for Edith Mathot's ever-present bow work and Sylvester Piyel's (the spinner of the 7"'s violin web) occasional keyboard trappings. Without taking kudos away from the five main bodies of the group whose talent of bending rhythms into the shape of teardrops is obvious, I'm willing to admit my glassy-eyed fascination for one weepy neck-held gadget and say it's the belly of this type of recording. Should it leave, this nine-songer would be akin to a less death-minded My Dying Bride or Anathema's more bare bones, but emotive material.
