The story of "Ton Steine Scherben in Dub" began 20 years ago. After two eye-catching compilations of the then still young label Echo Beach, which threw a knot on the British and international dub-productions of the mid-nineties, "King Size Dub Volume 3" should concentrate on Germany. They also thought of the shards and a version of "Mole Hill Rockers" landed on the sampler. Then nothing happened. Until Labelchef Nicolai Beverungen two of his dub specialists, namely Fe Wolter (Dubvisionist) and Alexander Hornbach (Aldubb), to a further collaboration with R.P.S. Lanrue could move. Although there were no multi-track recordings for the shards, the Dub archaeologists succeeded in preserving the essence of the pieces in exclusive mixes. Only a few points were supplemented by overdubs, strengthened or deepened.
