The Swedish prog rock group's second album from 1995 picks right up from their debut "Vedom" with their special blend of mellotrons, distorted rhodes piano and "frippertronic" guitars. The band stretches out musically a bit more on this outing as the strive to create their own distinctive voice and transcend their influences.

A very round and homogeneous Art/Prog/Post-Rock album is the new one of anecdotes "Time of day".it offers mostly unembellished, relatively dynamic pieces with classical bass/guitar/drum instrumentation.the compositions have a typical Scandinavian tendency to melancholic dramaturgy. There are many haunting instrumental parts, which gain in value through the constant presence of a pleasant sounding melotron.what I have to criticize for my part here is the endeavored singing, which does not really convince me here in its timbre and phrasing.all in all a successful album.
