Ziúr is a female Berlin-based producer and she's bringing some future club industrial vibes to Objects with her Deeform EP. In 2015 she started 'BOO HOO', a night dedicated to the queer community, along side Joey Hansom. Bookings are inclusive, having female identifying and people of colour on the bill with a core friendly and accepting space for people to party. Ziúr first made stirs when she remixed Peaches "How You Like My Cut" from the totally NSFW but incredibly fun 'Rub' LP. She then Exploded on to the scene with her debut club vibe Taiga EP on Infinite Machine earlier this year. Ziúr has come a long way from her experimental noisy punk band 'Sissters'. Punk vibes still run through the dark and bass-heavy sound of Deeform EP though. Her use of environmental noises, dogs barking and the like, are evocative of cityscapes and dimming lighting when the streets meet dusk. "My testing ground [for my own music] is when I work at a venue and I do a sound check," she explains. "If people freak out, then I know that it's a good track."

Then to the shoegazing "Land " & finishing with the throbbing beats of "Funeral Rites" . The band are supporting the release of this EP , with few dates (see below) . The key element of The Vacant Lots' minimalist, primitive rock'n'roll songs is their boundless energy, which tears up the psych template with a genuine punk spirit. This inimal means maximum effect' aesthetic is something they have developed over the past few years, not least by continuing as a two-piece. The notion of duality is also a recurring theme, whether in the band's fiercely monochrome artwork or their lyrics, which deal with life and death, love and loss and the human condition.

Mixed with bits and pieces in-between and neatly placed between a classic intro and outro segment, those tracks are testament to that aforementioned wider scope. To put it in a nutshell, On The Green Again is not concerned with leaving a comfort zone, but with making you comfortable no matter which zone you are in.The only mystery that is left now, is how long we have to wait for the third one.

Afro-beat from the north! 6-piece from Denmark have crossed borders with their debut album "Afro-Fire", thrilling audiences from Copenhagen to South Korea and Africa. Taking their musical inspiration from the soul of Fela Kuti and the delusional arrangements of Charles Mingus they fused it with their own European backgrounds into a new sound. Their debut release Afro-Fire received international critical acclaim and radio airplay on BBC, Bayerische Rundfunk (DE), FM4 (AU), Radio X (DE), WNYU Radio (US) and many others. The album has received 5 Danish Grammy nominations, winning “BEST WORLD MUSIC ALBUM” and "BEST WORLD MUSIC TRACK". The KutiMangoes have toured Northern Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East as well as their home country, having performed at prestigious festivals such as: Reeperbahn Festival (DE), Jarasum Int. Jazz Festival (S. Korea), Copenhagen Jazz Festival (DK), OCT-Loft Festival (C), Reykjavik Jazz Festival (I), Jazzy Koun Ben (Mali), Istanbul Jazz Festival (T). This is a journey into sound…’ These familiar words, accompanied by the rumble of a distant train, signal the opening of ‘Let’s Take A Trip’, the sophomore album from Terrel Wallace aka Tall Black Guy. Since 2013’s ‘8 Miles To Moenart’ TBG has cemented his position as a standard bearer for the current hip-hop / beats scene. Born in Detroit and now residing in the UK, Wallace’s signature style of incredibly clever sample flips and deft production chops has won fans across the globe including Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Jazzy Jeff and House Shoes. Since his debut release in 2011 (a daring and addictive flip of Fela Kuti), TBG has become revered for his unique take on soulful hip-hop production. The swing of the drums, the textures of the instrumentation as well as a fearlessness in taking on the classics (his Soundcloud page includes flips and chops of tracks from James Brown, De La Soul and Michael Jackson) have marked him out from the crowd. One of the best-kept secrets in the scene, his singular talent is now beginning to get the recognition it deserves. In the last 12 months he has remixed Little Dragon and been invited to take part in Jazzy Jeff’s Playlist Retreat alongside the likes of Eric Lau, James Poyser, Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Questlove and countless others. For this album Wallace had a simple inspiration: ‘This album is all about taking a journey. As simple as that. Be it physical, emotional or spiritual. It's asking and answering personal questions from myself within some of the tracks and also touching on social issues i.e. racism, inequality and privilege...that have been at the forefront of my mind over last three years.’ Sonically there is also a shift: ‘Jazz has definitely been more of an influence in this project, as I have been really inspired by so many up and coming musicians who I've been blessed to connect with’. Some of these musicians, including Kenny Keys, Miles Bonny, Diggs Duke and Dee Jackson feature on the project as well as regular collaborators Ozay Moore and Mario Sweet and fellow Playlist alumni Daniel Crawford and Masego. But this is one man’s vision, and for Tall Black Guy this trip is just the beginning….

Following his work with Edgem and general ubiquity on London's stations over the last year or so, it was only natural that he and Spooky found themselves in the studio together. Low Rider starts the process. A malevolent take on the West Coast walking bassline style, we signed it before it was even a track - just a 4am 8-bar loop, haze and sub. After listening to that sparse 20 seconds on repeat for a while, they brought muscle to the skeleton - DJ Quik in Peckham. All Black Winter, meanwhile, takes their sound in a much harsher direction. Growling saws, gutteral strings and a brief morse code arpeggio meet violent gunshot snares and Boylan's bass science. One for the 2am rideouts, the double drop at 2:40
